Agreed. Renard was a strong villain. conceptually a bit far fetched (which bond villain isn't?) but a strong performance and an interesting character. Do you find this valuable?

Well I disagree, because Renard and electra were in cahoots, I know Electra was manipulating him, but he was still a villain, and the fact that electra was the brains is not revealed until the end of the movie. I think that a henchman is defined as merely the hired help. Do you find this valuable?

Just as there were two in "The Living Daylights" (Whittaker and Koskov), there are two in TWINE (Elektra and Renard)--the two completed each other and you can't have one without the other. That's what Purvis and Wade did to put a spin on the formula--make a Bond-girl one of the main villains (though they'd been hench-people before). The better question to ask is: "What is Octopussy?" She's a Bond-girl, but isn't she a villain as well? Do you find this valuable?

You could argue there were two main villains in From Russia With Love (Klebb and Blofeld); also two villains in Octopussy (Kamal and Orlov) -- Octopussy was being duped by them both (she thought she was smuggling jewelry, not a nuke), so she doesn't qualify as the real villain of that film. I'd rate Renard and Elektra as equals in villainy. Do you find this valuable?

Also, in Casino Royale, Mr. White and Le Chiffre are both the main villains. Do you find this valuable?

I agree with Doc Holiday on Octopussy. Also, she and Magda were betrayed. They totally turned. However, May Day turned good when she was betrayed. Is she a Bond girl, or a female fatale??? Do you find this valuable?

No I think Octopussy is a good bond girl i mean she didn't even know that khamal or whatever his name is was trying to kill people. and remember after she found out she went with her ladies and tried to kick his butt. So Iagree i think she is a GOOD bond girl not a bad one.

I would call Mr. White a villain that sets up the main villain, a controller or over-villain. Le Chiffe in the end is a puppet and Mr. White pulls the strings but in the end there's someone pulling Mr. White's strings too.
