Worst Bond Movie?

IMO, this is probably my least favorite Bond film. (Yes, I have seen "Moonraker", "The Man With The Golden Gun", "Never Say Never Again", "A View To A Kill", and "Die Another Day.") Sean looked old (Although much much older in NSNA) and of course there was the worst Blofeld in the franchise. This movie would probably be one of the best if George Lazenby did it and if it would be a direct sequel to OHMSS (Telly Savalas as Blofeld, Irma Bunt, Bond wants to get revenge for Tracy, etc.).

I agree.This set the stage for those dismal comedic Moore movies. Worst by Connery,and definatly the worst Blofeld(a drag queen?really!)...I'd have liked to see Lazenby continue on after OHMSS and carry Bond to a more book driven Fleming-ish 007, like the first 4 by Connery. And I wish Terrance Young stayed on too,he was the best director by far...............................................................C.

Octopussy was the best Bond movie!I don't think that Diamonds are Forever is the worst, but it's certainly not the best. That honour goes to Die Another Day. 2 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

By the way, they'd have to find a new henchmen, unless they got a new Irma Bunt. Illse Steppat, who plays Bunt, died four days after OHMSS came out. I do agree with the other choices though. Personally, I think that The World Is Not Enough gets the worst film honors. Great acting by villains Robert Carlyle (Renard) and Sophie Marceau (Elektra) and allies Judi Dench (M), Joe Don Baker (Jack Wade) and Robbie Coltrane (Zukovsky), but Pierce wasn't that up to par in this film. Did anyone actually like Denise Richards (Christmas Jones) in this one? I thought she was horrible. I don't think Diamonds Are Forever, A View to a Kill and Die Another Day can be blamed though. They were the last films of all the actors who played Bond in them, and had a unique Bond style in them. Though I do agree that they are probably the worst of their actors for Diamonds Are Forever and Die Another Day. Moonraker was much, much worse then A View to a Kill, however. i watched diamond are forever yesterday,i must admit it is corny but not the worst. that honer goes to moonraker.the trouble with d.a.f. is its just made up of funny quotes

I don't get why everyone hates a view to a kill because Tanya Roberts is drop dead gorgeous in that movie and the hottest bond girl by far.

“DIAMONDS” is my favorite Bond film. It has it all: Richly distinctive characters, wonderful gadgets, terrific action sequences and interesting locations. Yes, Connery looks older- that’s because he was older. He resembles what an Intel Officer might look like and still portrays flare and coolness. I think it does look a little dated and campy which might throw some fans off. I loved the campy moments, as Connery, with his matter-of-fact delivery, was a perfect counter-balance.

i agree with charmoffensive that die another day is the worst bond movie although DAF and Moonraker were awful too

DAF was pretty bad. The whole thing loses mystique when Bond is in the states. There's Blofeld in drag, there's Q using his gadget to fool the slot machines, the Felix Leiter was not good, *both* of the Bond girls were really irritating...Peter Franks was SUCH a SWELL GUY!!!!!!! The plot was riddled with holes. And the Thumper/Bambi thing was just stupid.AVTAK was worse, though. 4 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

Oh hi, it's us, the guys who made the movie you're watching now. Now that we're about, what, like fifteen minutes away from the end...it's all about a giant LASER SATELLITE. Yeah, that's the ticket.As far as Jill St. John, you know she was really alright. Just a little of her goes a long way. And between her and Natalie Wood's kid sister, *one* of them should have had an exotic foreign accent. All in all she's about the least bad thing about it. Do you find this valuable? |
