Here is my list:
1. Sean Connery - He did it first, did it best. He is the greatest Bond of all time.
2. Roger Moore - Funny, charming and sophisticated. He carried on the Bond-series well.
3. Daniel Craig - Renewed the Bond-series. He was very good in Casino Royale, but was not so great in Quantum of Solace.
4. Pierce Brosnan - Modern Bond, loved GoldenEye, but his other movies was not so good as GoldenEye.
5. Timothy Dalton - The emotions was missing and I don't remember any great Bond-moments from his movies.
6. George Lazenby - The only thing there is to say: Not a good Bond. He is the only weak link in OHMSS. The movie was very good, but would have been excellent (better) if James Bond was played by Connery.

Conclusion: Sean Connery IS James Bond, closely followed by Roger Moore.

I totally agree, i wish Connery played this movie so bad, just think of the probabilities!

I also would have LOVED to see Moore play this one also, it also would go along with For Your Eyes Only when he places the flowers on her grave.

1; TIE: Connery and Craig. Sean started it and defined it; he was a brute. And Craig is very much on the Fleming-Bond side of the coin. I enjoy his dry wit and realism.

2; Dalton. The first Bond I saw and perhaps the closest to Flemings original creation. Nuthin wrong with returning to the style that made it work in the first place!

3; Brosnan - A good reinvention of 007 for the 90s. Cool Bond, although I got kinda sick of all the one-liners. The films got increasingly over the top too.

4; Moore = A fun Bond, but similar to Pierce, it seemed there were so many one-liners that I got fed up with them quickly. Not very convincing in hand to hand combat.

5; Lazenby. Okay - there aren't any bad Bonds - but kinda wooden sometimes and one film isn't really enough to come full circle as Bond. Even just one or two more films would've been enough, although I'd still probably prefer the rest.

Now I know we all have our opinions, but I must disagree! Moore had Skillz in the hand to hand combat.

Sort of, but I thought the rest had more skill. Moore was good at gettin the suave, sophisticated guy down right. As I say, I don't think any of them are bad, they're all good in their own ways. Probably cos I was introduced to Timothy Bond first that I've always stuck by the Fleming Bonds. But FYEO and TSWLM were excellent and Moore is still a very good, enjoyable 007.

I will admit tho, Moore doesnt have any darkness in him like Dalton or craig, so I can see what u mean how he might not be as aggressive when fighting. I personally like when bond uses guns to kill villains myself, perfect shot! POW!

I do like tho when Moore kicked the car over the cliff, that was awesome!

I concur! FYEO one of Moore's best. Car over the cliff was great; "He never had a head for heights."

The only thing I can agree on with your list is Lazenby's position, and maybe Moore's.

My list which I myself will stick to is:

1. Timothy Dalton
2. Roger Moore
3. Daniel Craig
4. Sean Connery
5. Pierce Brosnan
6. George Lazenby

Actually due to the sense that if I were Bond I would most likely be Moore since he is funny and quick-witted and dangerous in one there will be a slight change in my list:
1. Sean Connery (cause he is the original and I respect great originals in movies)
2. Roger Moore
3. Pierce Brosnan
4. Daniel Craig
5. Timothy Dalton
6. George Lazenby

Now that is my list and iam sticking to that one!
