"Are they actually gay?"In the film there's a scene at the beginning after they kill the dentist where they hold hands and kinda skip off into the desert. In the novel, their homosexuality is a bit more implied... things like the description of how they look at each other and so on. In neither case is their sexual orientation explicitly stated. In real life: Both Bruce Glover (wint) and Putter Smith (kidd) are married. Do you find this valuable? |

I imagine they were as gay as Pussy Galore was a lesbian. Flemming was a bit more cavalier on introducing gay characters (Pussy was definitely lesbian in the book) in pulp. I imagine Cubby wanted that toned down in the movies for American audiences. Pussy did imply at being a lesbian in the movie, but, in the end she succumbed to Bond's advances. Not so immune...

their line about the woman being attractive...FOR A LADY (and then laughing) is another dead giveaway. They hold hands and skip away from a murder scene. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what is going on between the two of them.
