Good idea,a new SPECTRE type global organization, very good! And maybe(?) Vesper's boyfriend will be the new Blofeld. With terror cadres around the world today a umbrella type organization would make sense,co-ordinating sleeper cells and 9/11-ish acts. Smersh would be dated with the Cold War being over and Russia collapsed. They could really bring this up to date( hopefully ). 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Nah vespers boyfriend will just be an agent in the organization like the number 5 or something, the leader will be more powerful and will despise women or something, it'll most likely be the leader of North Korea lol Do you find this valuable?

I'm not so sure that SMERSH is out of the picture completely in the world commuity. the russians are dealing with this poisoned spy business (Litvinenko). if they had creative script writers, it would be sweet to see them try and resurrect SMERSH... perhaps based around a core of ex-SMERSH agrnets (as most of SPECTRE is ex-KGB). I don't know. I also agree that middle eastern terrorist organizations could be rolled in pretty seamlessly, eben with the reintroduction of SPECTRE. Imagine blofeld disguised as bin laden?

It could'nt be SMERSH.Smersh was disbanded shortly after the end of WW2,its last job, aside from policing the KGB, was to hide and guard the remains of Adolf Hitler,Eva Braun and the Gerbels(?) family for the KGB. It would be interesting if they were ex-SPECTRE,that'd make more sense, being a more recent society.
Also SPECTRE was'nt all ex-KGB,it consisted of ex-Mafia,Union Corse,SMERSH,(disbanded in'58 by Krushchev-Thunderball),also ex-Gestapo,Marshall Tito's secret police, and highland turks.
I don't think he'll hate women either....most of Fleming's villians( ie. Mr.Big,Scaramanga,LeChiffe etc.)"consumed women in quantitys" to quote IF -- they were not only physically larger than life but had great appitites as well. Maybe a similar type of group with ex-members of jihadist's,IRA,Provo's,Spetsnaz, mercenarys from the Congo,ex-members of covert organizations,ie.CIA,MI6,KGB,GSG9,East Berlin secret police.Lots of disaffected bad guys out there looking for work these days!

It'll probably be a new organization all together, something that probably pays terrorists to do their dirty work whilst they nick oil or money. Posibly ex everything ranging from Nazis to KGB. I still reckon Vesper's boyfriend won't be the main man, he'll be an agent in the organization who will most likely appear in more than one bond movie. They may make him out to be a bit like bond, but a badder version whose had the same type of past.

I'm sure the boyfriend will just be some lacky,no-one with stature in the organization...just a male "honeytrap"....the head man may be more an evil "M" than evil Bond......???? We'll see............................................ Do you find this valuable?

though ive just heard that the film will pick up two minutes after Casino Royale, when a wounded Mr. White is confronted by Bond. Daniel Craig also noted that the filmmakers have "set up the idea now that there's an organisation out there that needs to be sorted out, and [that Bond has] got a sense of revenge." sounds about right to me...it looks like there going for a SPECTRE type of orginization...and ,yes Bond needs this ala the end of the book CR when he swears vengence on SMERSH. Keep it with the Fleming ideas!

Well, judging from the names (Mr. Greene, Mr. White) the organization seems to have a "color" scheme--which is a hilarious jab at Quentin Tarentino's characters in "Reservoir Dogs." No doubt he'll be whining about that, too. Do you find this valuable?

Well, I hope it is not SPECTRE. If LeChiffre was a SMERSH agent along with Mr. White, lets finally see SMERSH rise to power, because SPECTRE came after the formation of SMERSH.
