One of the best?
Jan 7 2007, 4:31 PM EST Many consider From Russia with Love to be the best of the entire series - even Connery. While it lacks some of the fun of Goldfinger (OddJob, PussyG) I have to agree it's a better 'film.' 9 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: One of the best?
Jul 26 2007, 3:00 AM EDT I agree, this was the BEST of all the movies. Maybe not as quipy as the later ones, but the mood and tone were perfect. This was a dark movie(like they tryed to do with Casino Royale-but failed),and it stuck to the book--maybe because Fleming was there on the set.And speaking of gadgets--if you read the books its the guys from SMERSH and SPECTRE who have them ,not underfunded MI6.Bond was a resorcefull guy and tough, that is what carried him thru...not being a vodka swilling smirking poser. They should've kept this theme and for heavans sake done the books IN ORDER as movies(timeline, folks?) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. RE: One of the best?
Sep 5 2007, 3:39 PM EDT I agree too, "From Russia With Love" is probably one of the best Bond films of all time. Connery's performance was just like Bond, true to Fleming's character. When I was younger I thought that this movie was boring, but now I really enjoy it. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 14 2007, 11:42 PM EST I agree with you. FRWL is way better than GF. But GF had some good strong points. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 17 2007, 2:56 PM EST I'm just happy there are enough great ones to have a healthy debate over, and still acknowledge that those ones are, indeed, "great." 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: One of the best?
Dec 18 2007, 4:47 PM EST The best of the Connery's era. In 45 years history of the saga, only one film couldn't be THE best. It correspond to an era with its state of mind (communism, etc.) TSWLM is the best Moore TLD is the best Dalton Do you find this valuable? |
