Victim of circumstance?
Jan 7 2007, 1:21 PM EST Dalton is a pretty good actor, but he was saddled with some tough times. First off, the cold war was over so no real big enemy. So, Columbian drug lords are ushered in (yawn). Bond was also a victim of another difficult aspect of the 80s - AIDS. So, a traditionally womanizing Bond was suddenly a bit more chaste. It just didn't sit right did it? 4 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Victim of circumstance?
Feb 25 2008, 8:31 AM EST Interesting. Especially the aids thing, i never really considerd that. I thought that the late 80's would have been a good time to be Bond, but you make a good point. I do think that he did a good job though, and the columbian drug lord was one of my fave villains! Sanchez had one of the better deaths from all the films i think, being set alight with the lighter Felix gave Bond. But i digress. Do you find this valuable? |
