I hated Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, with Daniel Craig...

As a huge fan of 007 films, and being half British myself. I hated the last two bond films, because there are better choices out there for James Bond than Daniel Craig, like Clive Owen, Pierce Brosnan still and even Timothy Dalton again... I didn't like the two bond films without moneypenny and Q, without them, Just kill off the bond series, no line of "Bond... James Bond" in Quantum of Solace and no more opening shooting tunnel opening sequences anymore before the title songs, what's up with that...If they get rid of Q and moneypenny and the shooting tunnel opening sequences before the title song, then they get rid of me as a huge bond film fan to a no bond film fan in future, I love the past bond films then the future bond films better. I could do a better bond movie than Daniel Craig, after all being half British myself.

Timothy Dalton is to old to be bond again, Brosnan would have been fine but hes gone so that the end to that. Craig is doing a great job! So what if he doesnt look the part ehh its not a big deal with me anymore. One film is fine without Q (like live and let die) but a whole series of movies without him is just WRONG!!!! 4 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

As good as FRWL in my opinion. I liked QoS because it reminded me of LTK, where Bond goes rogue and gets revenge. Face it, if they didn't try these new things from time to time to keep the series fresh then the series may have died off long ago! By DAD the whole gadgets/fantasy side of Bond was way overdone. CR returned to the roots of Ian Fleming (have you read any of the novels???) and done away with all the silliness that was beginning to define the series, and THAT'S why these new movies are so successful. Not trying to argue, just saying, the novels came before the films so there isn't anything wrong with returning to the style that made it all work in the first place! There's been a bit of talk about Q and Moneypenny returning in Bond #23 anyway. And Craig and Connery are the best 007s ever! They're all good tho. 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

QOS was a letdown after CR but the scenes with Bond and Mathis make it worthwhile for me."Concur it was good to see Mathis back, too bad he was killed off. I don't really consider QoS a "letdown", but CR was certainly far superior. I think if the dialogue scenes/explaining of the plot was done in a bit more detail to flesh the movie out to 2 hours or so, then it could've been brilliant, almost as good as CR. There's certainly promise there, with a few great scenes, but for #23 they need to take their time with the story as well and spend less time thriving on action and explosions every ten minutes. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Yes it would be nice to see the new Moneypenny but will we have to deal with the snappy repartee of the two characters I don't seem to remember in the books anything like that but it has been awhile since I read classic Bond. Concerning Q come on people give it a rest okay I started disliking the series in some ways when Bond had more Gadgets than Batman. FRWL was always one of my favorite when it came to gadgets very believable I had hoped when NSNR came out it would dispense with all the ultra techno gadgets but a flying platform and a laser watch come on guys. If I was to battle rattle Bond for a mission lets see I would start with a throwing knife and sheath placed into the back of his coat. A gamblers friend aka hold out device with a two shot derringer strapped to his forearm. Small amount of explosive for door breaching or opening a cell door if captured by bad guys and of course the ever faithful Walther I myself prefer the P5 over the PPK and I think Craig is closer to the literary Bond than the gadget laden womanizer that the movies created

I hated Quantum of Solace too. I really liked Casino Royale, but QoS was directed and edited extremely poorly. Piss-poorly actually. And perhaps the manner in which QoS was produced deserves a large portion of the blame in how they opted for the modern trend of overly fast-paced action scenes every 10 minutes instead of proper character development leading up to a highly anticipated, dramatic conclusion. CGI and "BOOM" and "BANG" and "POW" is what brings people to see the movies nowadays. But for me personally that approach has no staying power. Most unfortunate...As for Daniel Craig though, I think he is an extraordinary Bond, no complaints at all with him. I believe if the characters around him were developed more and better lines were written for him (Craig) that more fans / people would be on-board with him. Lastly, overall I give QoS a pitiful 1 out of 10 rating. Yes I do like it because it is a Bond movie after all, but due to a fair and personal rating system I have to go that low. And quite obviously that makes QoS my least favourite movie of the entire series. This low rating is nothing that I take pride in handing out, it is just the result of being very disappointed. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I think Daniel is the worst Bond, ever. I hate the way the press rubbished him before he played the role, but, he should call it a day. DC is way too short, at 5ft 10 and the way he weight trains and shave his chest, just yuk. Many women in the press refer to him as spud head: never has a Bond been castigated for his looks, before.Daniel is more gay icon than ladies man. The new Bond films, try to copy the Bourne genre, but the Americans do it better. I wont waste my money to see the Bond films, anymore. Whoever wrote this is 1000% true, craig sucks, Clive Owen was a much much better choice, including Brosnan Still & Dalton again, because of craig I don't think I want to continue being a bond movie fan anymore, & 2 new bond films without the gunbarrel sequence before the title song, what the ****!, skyfall better have a gunbarrel sequence or it survive in theaters without me or my support, I hope now that it's 2012, that this is craigs LAST stroll as Bond, & GET Clive Owen next for James Bond for God Sakes,........

Initially, i hated those two movies two but after analysing the novel and how serious bond was in them,i changed my opinion about daniel craig.He may not look the part but he did a fantastic job and i can say the same thing about Timothy Dalton.......

If you would take a day out and read the books you will realize that daniel craig plays bond how he should be, cold,calculated and does the job. its good that they have taken out most of the cheese and made bond how he should be, double hard. Being english my self i appriciate what they have done, Bond is still badass and lets face it, you would only be happy if he were played by a yank lmaooo
