Licence to Kill is a great movie that portrays Bond very much as he would be in Casino Royale. It is has been criminally overlooked and marginalized but Dalton was ahead of his time, and so was Licence to Kill.

Agree.
Though I usually dislike violence I have to admit that License To Kill had it something when it came to violence. Most likely it's because killing in it was something EXTREMELY new because Connerys interpretation of a revengeful Bond didn't impress me.

I always appreciate the Producers for trying something new. This is why I like Bond films such as OHMSS, QoS and LTK. They tried something different but still included (most) of the Bondisms that people love - pre-credit action scene, far flung locations, sinister villains, beautiful gals and one tough Bond. LTK is a fantastic adventure with an awesome Bond. I agree; Dalton AND LTK are unfairly underrated. Do you find this valuable?

Indeed, too bad about the legal issues that bogged the series down in the early 90's. It wasn't Daltons fault at all that there was a 6 year gap. Studio executives or whatever got into a lawsuit that lasted 6 years and Dalton eventually lost interest. Would've been great to see more of him as Bond.

Yeah Pierce was good, although I admt it would've been interesting to see how Goldeneye would've turned out with Dalton. I wish Dalton got to do TPOAL in 91, and even another one in 1993 before handing the reins over to Pierce for GE.

Im sure he'd be in in Goldeneye too and maybe even Tomorrow Never dies if he had more movies in the early 90's. THEN Pierce would be the one who would have two movies! what a twist! Do you find this valuable?

If Dalton had played in GE and TND also, I think Brosnan still would have played in four movies which means the upcoming movie would have been Craigs first.
