007Domanator	Casino Royale WHY VESPER RUINED IT ways we can help Bond 23 Nov 3 2009, 10:56 AM EST Yes vesper was a total babe but Bond just got hooked on her like a stalker it made bond look creepy and for Gods sake no more falling in love crap. Bond does for girls a movie then lets it go the only time it was exceptibale was in OHMSS when Tracy died. Bond should have got the money and THEN tried to save vesper if he didnt who cared she was a traitor anyway. Bond's experience with Vesper is what defined his attitude towards women. His guard was mostly up after that (although he let it down when he fell in love with Tracy). People say "Its only acceptable that Bond is in love with Tracy and no one else." What rubbish. Go and read the books. Now that he has learnt from his experience in the movie version of CR, future films will show him not lettin his guard down and his female conquests won't be as, er... meaningful. It's quite bad movie even without crying after Vesper. Though Vesper was chronologically the first woman Bond fell in love with, she's the only whose name has been mentioned in two succsessive movies (if you don't count Sylvia Trench). Michael G. Wilson once said in an interview; "Every Bond film we start, we try to do another From Russia With Love but we end up with another Thunderball." CR was the closest they have come since to giving us an epic realistic spy thriller in that style. QoS had some good action scenes - I love the Opera scene and the plane chase. Too bad the film wasn't long enough to accomodate that much action AND still give us a solid story too. And as for DAD, well I don't think I even need to explain that one... But in QoS, that's what he does to avenge Vespers death and people complain. Sylvia Trench was in Dr. No and FRWL, and he wasn't even in love with her. Vesper and Tracy are probably the most important women he has encountered, as Vesper was his first true love and Tracy was his bride (for about 10 minutes).
