What You REALLY thought about Quantum....
Sep 7 2009, 3:58 PM EDT
Okay so I saw Quantum the day it came out, of course...and this may be a little late, me posting this here, but anywayI thought it was good. Between it and Royale, I would go with the latter movie, but only because it was the first Bond in a long time and I think Craig really did an amazing job portraying a raw agent, not yet fluent in espionage or hiding his emotion and running on cold-hearted facts. Also, in Quantum, the music really played a huge part - for example, at the opera scene, where Bond pursues Mr. White and other members of Quantum (during a performance of "Tosca" in Austria), the music has very mysterious undertones, barely illuminating the scene but still keeping you in the moment. Honestly I've never felt more "in" a movie until I saw this film. Suffice it to say I love Daniel Craig as James Bond and think that the next two films he does (hopefully he stays on for Bond 24!) will be fantastic. In reality, I think Daniel Craig is the new Sean Connery - not a replacement, but a reincarnation. Do you find this valuable? |

Yeah, Craig is an awesome Bond and I look forward to seeing him in more. Casino Royale remains my favorite Bond film. I liked Quantum Of Solace, but not as much. Sometimes it seemed like they were rushing to get to the next action/chase scene; there coulda been more dialogue scenes in between to explain the story in a bit more detail. More Bond and Mathis scenes and Bond and Fields scenes would have been nice too. Overall I enjoyed the movie though. Opening was great; car chase before Craigs witty line "It's time to get out", then credits... Good stuff. And the opera scenes were very good. "Can I offer an opinion? I really think you people should find a better place to meet." Also I liked the plane fight bit. But yep, Casino Royale is the best Craig film (so far).
