Cool villains, daring stunts, and outstanding chemistry between Bond and his leading lady make Moonraker impossible to top! Even more amazing on blu-ray!

Thunderball!!!! Locations, plot, villain, sexy women, groundbreaking action and effects and along with Goldfinger the one that turned Bond into a worldwide phenomenon, and thus the real reason the series has lasted until today. Also high on my list are Dr. No, FRWL, OHMSS, FYEO, both Dalton films and Casino Royale. The worst would be A View To A Kill, despite Walken and Duran Duran. Just a bit worse than Golden Gun, Moonraker and World is not enough. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Pierce was great, but James Bond for me will always be Sir Roger Moore or Sir Sean Connery!!

I agree Moonraker has an amazing opening stunt , an interesting plot gorgeoous women and locals and a classic ending line ("I think he's attempting reentry sir")

57. Best Bond Movie? The next one
Nov 18 2012, 1:29 PM EST
This is too personal. Those who grew up n Moore love him, I cannot take him as Bond. Moore + Jaws = disaster, add a Louisiana Sheriff, AMC Hornets jumping Bayous and Ian Fleming is retching in his grave. I Like The newest Casino Royale a lot and Skyfall is a tremendous character study and development. Goldfinger, Dr. No, FRWL - that is Bond to me. I am 61 and have seen all 24 films new in the theatre. ***** Galore makes the difference to make Goldfinger #1?George Lazenby is also in the top 3 Bonds with Connery and Craig for me with Moore grudgingly included at all on the list. I haven't seen the "next one" that's the one I most want to see. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
