Bond vs Trevelyan
Jun 28 2009, 8:24 PM EDT
The physical confrontation between ex-006 and 007 in the climax is right up there with the fight between Bond and Grant in FRWL. Those two fights, and the battle between Peter Franks and 007 in DAF are my favorite fight scenes in the entire series.

Concur about Goldeneye - my favorite Pierce Brosnan climax. I also like the CR fight down the stairwell; very real and painful-looking. :) Do you find this valuable? |

"1. Bond vs. Grant in 'FRWL'Bond v Zorin is good. The whole climax in AVTAK always gives me butterflies in my stomach. First 007 is hanging from a mooring line over San Francisco Bay and then that fight on top of the Golden Gate Bridge. Roger Moore’s Bond was never afraid of heights. “Octopussy” ends with that fight on top of an airplane. Do you find this valuable? |

It gives me the 'willies' just thinking about heights, let alone Bond high atop something or another. As Roger Bond said in 'FYEO', after kicking the car off the ledge with Emile Locque inside' He had no head for heights'. Do you find this valuable? |

"Not at all, my dear friend."I just loved John Barry's music on the snow-job chase scene, fire truck ,and fight atop the GG bridge. 'Nobody Does It Better' than Barry, Sir John Barry, wouldn't you say? Do you find this valuable? |

". Roger Moore’s Bond was never afraid of heights. “Octopussy” ends with that fight on top of an airplane."Indeed I have noticed this too, as u said in octopussy plane fight, top of the bridge in AVTAK, Climbing the very tall cliff in FYEO, Skiing off a cliff in TSWLM. Moore was kick ass! ;] And Yes A View to a kill is such an awesome, underrated film! as for my pics it would be in no order: 1. Bond vs. Zorin 2. Bond vs. Jaws (Multipul times) 3. Bond vs. Scaramanga 4. Bond vs. OddJob 5. Bond vs. Grant 6. Bond vs. TEE HEE 7. Bond vs. Gobinda on plane Do you find this valuable? |

Thanks so much my fellow AVTAK fan (I just watched it again this past Saturday, can’t get enough of it). The fight with Odd Job in Ft. Knox is really awesome. Especially the end, where Odd Job thinks he has the upper hand and goes to grab his hat, then… ZAP! The last fight in LALD with Tee Hee on the train is a riot: “Just being disarming darling.” Good revenge for Bond after Tee Hee left him on that island surrounded by alligators and crocodiles. And of course Bond vs. Gobinda on top of Khan’s plane is really cool. I love it when Khan says to Gobinda: “Go out there, and get him!”But after Bond vs. Trevelyan in Goldeneye I love the fight on top of the Golden Gate Bridge from AVTAK. Those guys are just so high up there that it puts a knot in my stomach watching it. And you can’t forget Roger’s line” “There’s never a cab when you need one.” Do you find this valuable? |

If QOS is any indication, I fear the same thing may turn out to be true of Craig's tenure as well... Do you find this valuable? |

"Looking back, the Brosnan era started so well, but never really delivered on its promise apart from GOLDENEYE. If QOS is any indication, I fear the same thing may turn out to be true of Craig's tenure as well..."Craig has been saying, and I believe Judi Dench has too (but I could be wrong there) that they want to bring back Q and Moneypenny. This alone is enough to convince me that Bond #23 could be better than QoS at least. I see Casino Royale as Craigs FRWL & QoS as his LTK (which I like by the way). So maybe #23 could be like Craigs Goldfinger/Thunderball, with Q and some of his nifty tricks... High hopes for our next 007 adventure, can't wait! Do you find this valuable? |

A lot of it to me seemed like they were just rushing from action scene to chase scene to fight scene, etc. with less time for storytelling. Loved the opera scenes though, and Craigs line when he made all the Quantum operatives get up was classic Bond. Do you find this valuable? |
