whatever gave them the idea to make blofeld come back to life, after for your eyes only it seemed like he was confirmed killed 4  out of 23 found this valuable. Do you?

But what if that Blofeld in FYEO was some of his dopplegangers? And after all in YOLT, OHMSS and DAF Blofeld created a myth about himself as a character who keeps appearing over and over again when everybody thought that he's dead.
Also Blofeld's appearance would make sense if Bond 23 continues the story about Bond's first moments as 007. 5  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

Ah, but remember that this is a series reboot. They can bring back Blofeld, they can bring back Tracey, they can bring back Scaramanga... anyone they want. That said, I don't expect to see a whole lot of resurrected characters from the 60s and 70s, but I would LOVE to see a Blofeld reboot.

Here's how I'd play it:
A young, charismatic, and devilishly shrewd young operative in the QUANTUM organization becomes progressively more influential and powerful, eventually seizing control of the organization (maybe he "plays" Mr. White and the others, even maneuvers Bond to knock off his opposition and seize power). We don't know his name, just his alias, but eventually he gets to do the big reveal and deliver the line "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ernst Stavro Blofeld."

With Blofeld at the helm, QUANTUM becomes a much more powerful and dangerous criminal fraternity, and its operations become bolder, more inventive, more audacious.

I do like that so far the QUANTUM organization more closely mirrors the SPECTRE that Fleming presented in the novel Thunderball than the movie version of SPECTRE ever did. SPECTRE was never supposed to be about world domination or large-scale terrorism -- they were quiet manipulators of governments and markets, shrewd and shadowy and omnipresent. They were about coercive power and hidden influence. And Mr. White's line "Money isn't as important to us as knowing who to trust" could easily have come from the novel's version of Blofeld.

I think there's a HUGE opportunity here to use the series reboot and the QUANTUM organization to bring to the screen the Blofeld that we never really got to see in the films. (And I think Michael Sheen would be brilliant casting for the role, too.) 16  out of 17 found this valuable. Do you?

I like the idea.
Casino Royale as a original "first-mission" plot, gets the characters grounded.
QOS ties up all the loose ends of the previous and then BANG, the next movie is the one we've all been waiting for, pure James Bond.

Concur my dear man. Pure James Bond. As for 'SPECTRE/BLOFELD again? That's a pretty 'risky' proposition. Maybe, maybe not. The 007 Producers would have to weigh heavly on this one, and really give it some thought. I hope that I'm wrong. but remaember blofeld hasn't come back to life the series has rebooted so blofeld should be younger 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I dont like the idea of reintroducing Blofeld, reboot or not. If we do that, let's just get rid of Quatum, bring back SPECTRE and every other villain and bond girl and hell, we could just start over. Make a new Dr. No, new FRWL, etc. etc. bring back everything. Its a reboot, but it should also be original. Who knows, I could be proven wrong, and they might handle it perfectly. There was another 'Blofeld' that made an appearance in 'NSNA', and that was Max Von Sydow as 'Blofeld'. Though 2 years earlier he was tossed into a smoke stack in 'FYEO'.I guess he came back to life in 'NSNA'. 1  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Blofeld's not comming back because this is a tabloid rumor and besides Michael Wilson said spectre's finished Quantum is the new SPECTRE and a little more smarter than SPECTRE...so remember don't believe everything you read 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree - I'd rather if they just keep creating new villains rather than re-hashing older ones. There's still some villains from Fleming material that we haven't seen in the films yet - I'd like to see the Spang brothers in the next one. :) 0  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

It most certainly is. S.P.E.C.T.R.E is far better than 'Quantum'. God, I miss the early ones. HELP!!!!
