Im back in Australia (again) for another week then im off to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and then the UK if anyone is interested lol. I might use this wiki to inform you guys and gals of any Bond related stuff i may see on my travels. Hope you dont mind. Btw, i already tried to start a new thread but it said there was a processing error so if you see this topic posted twice by me then ignore either one of them or both of them lol. Wish me luck btw.

The wife just got back from BAli, which she loved. Take care in Malaysia, And Thailand has Phuket, if you'll recall and "James Bond Island" from "The Man with the Golden Gun." Have fun! "good luck. how do you go to all these places? do you work?lol.Lol of course i work but i am now in between jobs abviously. Anyhow, took a quick detour to Alice Springs in the Outback....strange place. Flies are incredible as are the ants lol. Anyhow, in the town i found this internet cafe and ive just been in a book exchange where i bought a paperback copy of Colonel Sun and Role of Honor. $8.50au for both which is a bargain. Role of Honors ($3au) cover is ripped in half but i have never read it so who cares about the cover? Colonel Sun ($5.50au) was a lucky find. They had two copies and i nearly bought both lol. I hate it though the way they write the price in pencil just inside the cover but thats my souvineers of Alice Springs got. I go to Perth in a few days (by hire car) and then fly to singapore where i plan to by a new cell phone because electronic devices are so cheap there. Thinking of the sony Ericcson c902 from QoS but any of you guys have any other suggestions? Its hot here. Its humid but its another place i wanted to see and when i get back to the uk i might never ever get another chance to come to this part of the world. Hope you are all well here. Dont have time to catch up on the threads as its days before i get a chance to use net and theres so many posts i would be sitting here all day reading. One more thing, going take some pics etc but i find it difficult uploading on my profile page because the pics i already put on it didnt go in the part i wanted them to originally so any help will be appreciated. Will ask for help closer to the time though or maybe wait till i get back to Ireland as i dont have a desktop to take my pics from. Hope im not boring you all but i will go for now and be back on soon hopefully. Kind regards to you all and love to S3N70R lol. Do you find this valuable? |

"Come home soon, hon! ;)"Thanks beatlehead. By the way im halfway through Colonel Sun by Amis (Markham). Im not too impressed so far. He uses too much sailor talk when describing the boat racing to the island in Greece with Litsas and Ariadne on board along with Bond. I started to lose interest to the fight scene on board because of it. He also killed off two of Flemings minor characters. This seemed to me like he was trying to make a mark as a serious Bond writer and wanting to be shocking etc but in my opinion he was afraid of rocking the boat because i think he really wanted to kill off a major character (i wont say who in case anyone wants to read it) but hadnt the balls to do it or....was told not to....or...lol...he was afraid of how the public might react. Well, tomorrow i leave for Perth which will eventually take me to Singapore. Went to see Uluru (ayers rock) and was impressed. Very strange landscape. The amount of flies ruined it though. I really am not exagerating when i say hundreds swarm around you and land on your face every second of every minute when you step out of the car...possibly thousands. Everyone wears nets but i just wrapped my scarf around me but the buggers got inside my sunglasses lol. Thank God my hotel has internet btw. I have caught up so much with things on here. Great hotel despite being called the lost camel. I bought a card reader so i can load up some pics if i want on my profile now of my most recent trip. I was stupid though the other day when i said i hadnt got my desktop to load pics onto....duh...i have my laptop. Anyhow....in bed now so think i will read a few more of the threads before i turn in.

"I'm planning on going to New Zealand in December..tell me all the good spots to go."I will tell you the good spots when i get back home because my time here is limited using the net and i have so much to do. Anyhow, i arrived in Malaysia yesterday. Took a train from Singapore which was a seven hour trip. Malaysia is ok, i will be here for only 3 days before i fly to Koi Samui in Thailand. I went to the towers of course and was impressed. Ive tried all sorts of asian food this last few weeks and of course its very similar but....em...some of what ive eaten i definately wouldnt find on any menus back home lol. I didnt by the QoS phone (sony erricsson c9o2) back in Singapore even though it would have only cost me $400 compared to $550. The shop assistant convinced me that the slide out camera feature wouldnt last long because it was a bad design and after a short while it would come loose and just slide about and i tend to agree. I still like it though so if i can get it a better price when i go to Bangkok then i will buy it. Saw the whole range of swatch JB watches for sale. They were alright but i might buy a fake Omega JB watch in thailand. I already own the Omega 40th anniverary JB watch (a real one) but i dont like wearing it too much because i want to keep it in mint condition, so i will buy a couple of fakes. Anyhow, Malaysia is hot and humid, dirty, strange in some ways and really not my cup of tea lol but im glad i stopped here on the way back. Good location for a Bond movie though, especia;;y those towers. Ok, enough for now. Cant wait for Koi Samui to get some beach and sea. Talk to you soon. Do you find this valuable? |

Well, this is my last day and night in Malaysia. To be honest i will be glad to move on. Tomorrow i fly to Koi Samui in Thailand. Today though i went back to the petronis towers and decided to walk the bridge which joins the two towers. Just found out though that they are no longer the highest buildings in the world but are now second. Still the highest towers though. Anyhow, took the super fast elevator up and stepped out onto the bridge and took in the view. Very very suitable location for a Bond fight scene. I was quite nervous though even though its very safe. Im not a great lover of heights ive come to realise. The higher i get the more nervous and tingly i get. Never used to be like that. So,,,Koi Samui tomorrow and i made sure my hotel has wifi so for the next week or so i should be on here every day lol. Till then...00seven

Oh by the way....had to stay an extra night in Malaysia. Long story. Ended up being here longer than i intended but oh well...it shouldnt kill me. One more thing about Malaysia is that one can still smoke in restaurants and cafes. I being a smoker was amazed when i stepped outside to have a cigarette and the waiter called me back in waving an ashtray lol. Just thought i would add that.
