"I liked it quite a bit. At first I thought this really didn't feel like a Bond movie as such until I sat and thought about it for a while. Since this is supposed to be a young James Bond and many of the Bond trade marks were not present can be explained. Such as the no gadgets present was because Q branch had not been introduced yet. Or the whole Bond James Bond that too had not been used because Bond had not yet met Sylvia Trench where he mocked her after she introduced her self as Trench, Sylvia Trench. And he followed up with well... you get the point. But I think it would be nice on Bond 23 to get back to the good old Bond again."
I agree here. I love the whole "young" Bond aspect but now he is Bond and all the old things we love should return!

""I would also like to mention that I loved the way ***SPOLIERS***** Fields was found dead. Anyone notice what classic Bond scene that looked like? Goldfiner..."

sorry e007bond1016, I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. That scene in goldfinger is such a classic and QoS just stole it and threw it in this movie. I thought the movie was decent, could have done without that scene. I do think that Craig is playing a good Bond, at first I did not like him but he is proving to be a good Bond. However, they desperately need to bring Q back into the picture, nothing says James Bond without him."
Well ok not everyone has to like that they did that and I do agree that Q needs to be in it soon and I am sure he will be. They wouldnt allow there new agent to have the best gadgets right away especially since they didnt even want Bond around in both movies. I just liked the little refrence of the girl kind of funny...

I also agree what we have to understand is that this is YOUNG Bond not the more polished Bond with his stuff together. Daniel Craig did a fantastic job in this movi (could have used a bit more dialoge). Now that being said will be upset if bond 23 is missing Q branch and MoneyPenny. I miss Bond going into "M"'s office and getting his assingment. I cant for Bond 23 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

It's Bond, so of course, it's fabulous. That being said, I do have a few criticisms. I had trouble following the action shots. Too jumpy. I didn't think Green was very villiany. I also must have missed something in the whole Camille/HitMan/Greene exchange. Why did he hire a hitman to kill her? Anyhoo, I still loved the movie and plan on seeing it again to pick up on stuff I missed. I think Craig's a great Bond and hopefully all the trademark stuff will come together for the next one. Can't wait. Do you find this valuable?

Maybe the time's come for the Bond-23 M to be a man again. They can share a few lines about what a pity it is that the lady M was blown up in a terrorist attack, or her private jet crashed en route to Paris, or whatever. Share some Cognac over it. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

There is soooo much to say about quantum of solace. but ill start with my favorite aspects

i really did enjoy the car chase scene very very well done when bond reaches for the machine gun and the car rolls of into the mountain!
i also like how the movie started...although i would have liked it much better with the barrel roll sequence...i'm all about tradition and i just feel the QOS did not meet my standards of tradition.

M was wayyyyyy to involved with the movie which i did not like very much. Greene on the other hand was a adequate choice for a main villain. he had that sense of style where he knew he was rich and powerful. eating an apple while making a multi million dollar deal! excellent work!
the henchman could have been move involved.

craig did a good job, just nowhere near as well as in casino royale....my last complaint.....WHT THE HECK HAPPENED TO MR.WHITE??? does that man ever die!?!?

over all im giving the movie a 7/10...nowhere near the top 5, and not one of the worse ones...

First off- somewhat unrelated- the STar Trek trailer was not with my viewing- this was mentioned somewhere on the web- I had my doubts- putting a Para film trailer with a Columbia film didn't wash well.

The film is the second part of a story and executes, completes the tale. It leaves much unresolved (not spoiling- but what is/who is the new nefarious organization? The M-Bond relationship solidifies a bit more. The theme
is the worst of any Bond- but I knew that when a early studio version was released months ago. Fortunately the melody isn't carried into the film much (though the original Bond theme strains are- and that's nice). The theme is so freaking gawd-awful that it makes the Madonna and Sheryl Crow themes seem palatable. I was satisfied with the film much- oddly the gunnel barrel logo comes up at the end of the film before end credits. But it's very obvious it's Craig firing at the viewer (so many of the early Bonds didn't convince me it was Sean or George doing that- it always looked like some guy that wasn't them). The Villain actor is forgettable ultimately- though much less than in CR. Both look creepy-goofy, as though now bad guys don't look average but have to LOOK screwy. That's what was sort of a cool aspect of the early Bond flic days- the baddies were externally usually regular schmucks- it was what was in their noggins that was AFU. I'll probably go see this at the local, less fine a presentation theater again Sunday. I too would like to know WTF happened to Mr. White- I suspect he's the No. 1 in this new org. I also have to wonder if the new org ultimately will turn out to be alas- SPECTRE. With this new direction of Bond film stories, I am hoping we do have links to/from the next/last. I like the absence of gadgets- they could always be a cheap method of "prop devicing". Things feel more real in the CR and post CR Bond world- even including Felix (Jeffrey Wright).

I thought that the movie was good. The chase at the beginning was choppy yes but over all it was pretty good. ****SPOILERS**** I was really annoyed with how Fields was found dead. There are just somethings that a Bond movie has to have and somethings that a Bond movie can't do. And one of those things is copy another Bond movie. I did like though how M seemed more of a person with feelings than a unsentimental dope. Somehow Bernard Lee was able to do both, thats why he's the best M.

I have thought a lot about why people don't like QoS and I figured out why it is. Every Bond movie before it was made to stand by itself. You didn't need to see a movie before it to understand what was going on, Until now. I like how they followed up on his feelings of vespers death in royale. I was reading that the producers wanted to introduce Bond into the youger generations and I think that this is a good way to do so. If you don't know where hes has been you don't know why he does what he does. This si also why Q and miss moneypenny haven't been in the films.

Anyway over all I would give this a 8/10. Good movie but there have been better.

P.S. Does anyone know what was on Camille's back when you first meet her. Also what is Agent Feild's first name?

So, I liked it too. I'm an out Craig fan, but did find the film lacking in a few areas. First, the good news. The chemistry between the players was great; particularly with M and Bond. The Bond girls were strong, but not exceptional. I thought the stunt work and cinematography was great! I also really enjoyed the Opera scene. The juxtaposition of events and music was great - and you got to see Bond actually do something clever. Finally!

The bad. The villain story arch felt secondary to revenge - which I will admit was probably the intent. It was too fast with too little character development. I would have liked a little more traditional Bond in the film too. It felt more Bourne than Bond in the first half, but finally worked in some elements, including a great nod to GFinger, towards the latter half. Overall, great movie, top 5 Bond film.

I'm a huge craig fan (clearly) and really loved this film. First, despite no speedo scene, there were some nice shirtless moments. However, one scene really bugged me. I loved the touching moment with Mathis. It was really intimate and built some emotion onto the Vesper story. But then to dump his body in the trash and take his cash!? I found that too much and killed what would have been a great moment. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Just a short review. Story weak, villains weak, female leads weak, many Bond elements missing, while a lot of scenes ripped from older ones (not just the death of the Beatles themed love interest), and a very annoying camera movement. All in all, one of the weakest in my point of view.

Also, I'm looking forward for the appearence of Sergeant Pepper in the next film. And also a new M, preferably a male one.
