"I have noticed that some of you are saying that Alicia Keys & Jack White’s Another Way to Die from Quantum of Solace is on your top ten lists, but I have to disagree. The song is very good, but I don’t think it fits so well as a James Bond song/theme.it sure doesn't. the word DIE has already been used 2 many times,LALD,TND,DAD, geeeeeez! they shoud've thought of something else. Tha ERN Do you find this valuable? |

My faves are:1) Live and Let die (Love the energy of this one. Could have done without the reggae piece in the middle 2) All Time High (I like the fact that she doesn't use the bond Title in the lyrics). A classy song with a nice melody, and Rita's voice works with it very well 3) I Like the main riff of "you only live twice" Would have liked it to have had more energy, though. 4) You Know my Name. Lot of energy. Very representative of the movie (like the animation as well). 5)OHMSS theme. Absolutely love this piece. The fade from "This never happened to the other fella" to the music is fantastic. And it comes through amazingly well in the ski sequence. There are then some themes that I like but are flawed in some way. Like TMWTGG. I like the guitars, the meld between psychedelic pop and Barry's classic works. The lyrics ruin it, though. And the melody just wasn't there. A couple that leave a bad taste in my mouth are For Your eyes Only (boring) and NSNA. Love the movie. Hate the song. Sounds like it was performed by the "Meow Mix" cat... 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Favourite'sGoldfinger Thunderball Diamonds are Forever World Is Not Enough Tomorrow Never Dies All Time High (just like that coz its Kris Kristofferson's ex wife) Die Another Day Obviously love the two with the proper theme, Dr No and OHMSS Hate the ones from Quantum of Solace and the one by Sheena Easton Do you find this valuable? |

"If by the theme you are referring to the orchestra piece that plays while he's skiing and also at other times (and I think you are), I agree with you. I absolutely love that song! Loved since I first got into Bond. Do you find this valuable? |

Tha ERN"Using the word DIE has become very trite in the Bond series, I'd say. It appears everywhere. Not saying that death isn't a common theme in Bond, but still. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Fave Bond themes:-Both instrumental Bond themes by Barry (FRWL, OHMSS) -All three of Shirley Bassey's themes (Goldfinger, DAF, Moonraker) -LALD by Paul McCartney -TMWTGG by Lulu/Barry (the more I hear it, the more it seems to remind me of British TV...mostly Barry Gray) -Nobody Does it Better by Carly Simon -AVTAK by Duran Duran -TLD by A-ha (with Barry...not a fan of them on their own) -You Know My Name by Chris Cornell Ones I don't like (that I've heard): -FYEO by Sheena Easton -LTK by Gladys Knight Do you find this valuable? |

Love it when that happens, ha, good stuff!One of my favorite themes is still Alicia and Jack's theme "Another way to Die". It fits the film (QOS) well, withs its fast pitch and rough lyrics. At first i was skeptical because if you listen to Another Way to Die without the opening sequence, its hard to see it fit any Bond film. After I saw it in theatre, it intantly became a classic in my mind. Im also a fan of Paul Mccartney and wings version of "Live and Let Die", altough it more music than good lyrics, I still found it as one of those you'll be humming days after! Do you find this valuable? |
