"I don't think it's necessary for a Brit to play Bond -- that's why they're called actors. If a Welsh actor can convincingly play Bruce Wayne, then there's no reason an American actor couldn't play the British hero. The key, though, is that the *character* must remain British, regardless of the nationality of the actor giving the portrayal. Americanizing the character would be a terrible mistake."
Exactly. Actor can be American but Bond the character still needs to be a Brit. Do you find this valuable?

*Sighs & rolls eyes* I guess your right. Okay, the only american to play 007 would still be McQueen Do you find this valuable?

Im not saying any American could, and It would very difficult to find the perfect one, but its not an impossibility. Do you find this valuable?

I think Bond could work with an actor of absolutely any nationality in the part - but only if said actor could manage a convincing British accent. The whole point of Bond is that he is a British agent rather than yet another American hero saving the world."
i didn't mean that Sam Neil iz American, but 1 in consideration 4 the 007 role. Tha ERN (008) Do you find this valuable?

i quite agree my dear man. as Roger Bond said @ the end of 'SPY', from inside the pod w/anya in tow,' just keeping the British end up, sir'. The ERN (008) Do you find this valuable?

Ever seen the pilot episode of "The Six Million Dollar Man?" It's basically a Bond film. Do you find this valuable?
