"Indeed, it would be fine if they just used the title and came up with their own story. I've even been putting together a few ideas over time in my head for a plot outline to the next one with the title TPOAL in mind. Do you ever find yourself doing that? Risico could be put to good use too. :)"
yes i do. lots of ideas come 2 my head. 4 instance, the plot from the novel, not movie, 'MR', the Quantum org., tries 2 steal secret info on latest hi tech advancement in space technology. w/ Bond chasing after tha bad guys in exotic locales worldwide? wats u think anon? sounds good2 me. Tha ERN :-)

" What are your thoughts on the other Fleming titles? The Hildebrand Rarity (which sounds confusing, but I'd accept it), The Property Of a Lady and Risico (which both sound very Bond-like and interesting)... :)"
I like them both. I think they should still use Property of a Lady and use the plot they had in mind with Dalton back in 1993.

The Spang Brothers from the DaF book should be used somehow, maybe one could die off in the beggining then the more powerful one be the main baddy Do you find this valuable?

Sounds very good. I was thinking of a plot that has Bond tracking some sort of "MYSTERY OBJECT" that some baddies are also after for their own evil deeds (not sure what this "object" could be yet). A shady government type owns it and knows he his being hunted down by baddies, so before they kill him he leaves it with his daughter, telling her to keep it safe. M is aware of this, so she sends Bond to assassinate the woman and return the "mystery device", but when Bond sees her he decides to follow her and help her, saving her from other assassins and gaining her trust at the same time as figuring out a way to return the "mystery object" to MI6. Throw in Q, Moneypenny, help from Felix and his new partner "Peterson" and a new Aston Martin with oil slick, and machine guns that he can use in the key action scene; a neat car chase with his new ride. Oh and a cool evil villain. :)

Agreed. TPOAL and Risico would be the best choices.

Indeed. They could take different aspects of plots from different stories and blend them together into a good modern story. With the Spang brutha's perhaps, and I like your idea, Spy, about Quantum trying to steal info on space technology, as long as there are no laser battles in space lol... But if this idea is presented in a Bond film with a bit of realism and suited to Craigs style, it could very well turn out very good! :)

concur, hopefully the Producers realize this n take advantage of it. course, they'll hafta bring in good writer(s) 4 this, n not screw things up as in 'QOS'. Tha ERN p.s.- like my new avatar?

So apart from New York, as may be the case, where else would we like 007 to visit in Bond 23, people? Australia? New Zealand? Where else hasn't he been, or at least hasn't been in a while that would make for some nice locations? :) Do you find this valuable?

I remember those guys! Also, I thought it was cool how one of them had Spectreville, way before SPECTRE was introduced into the series. Good foreshadowing, perhaps?

I think it was 00seven who said New Zealand would be a good place. I think it would be cool to see Bond go there.

Indeed, it's where I'm from; some good spots around the country for Bond locations. Australia would be good too. :)

What works best for you, Quartermaster... Risico or The Property of a Lady? (or any other suggestions...) :)

I like them both, but The Property of a Lady just sounds like a perfect Bond title. The argument is that it was used in OP as the name of the fabrege egg, but that was minor enough that they could use it as a title for 23 or 24.
