Possible Bond 23 title? Craig and Broccolli in talks.

We've got about a month to go till QOS is released. But if you haven't heard already, Mr. Craig and Miss. Broccolli were spoted in New York disscussing Bond 23. Could the little unknown short story "007 in New York" by Fleming be the new title? Or just a possible shooting location?

That's what I say. Take '007 in New York' as the starting point and shorten it down to '007'.That still leaves 3 Fleming originals for later use all of which, the more you dwell on them post-Quantum seem to work. It could make sense thematically as Craig's version is now fully paid up '00' after the 2-film 'opener'... Rumours of NY in the next one anyway... 6 out of 10 found this valuable. Do you? |

yea i'd say they would be just using New York as a location cos knowing the Bond movies they would use multiple locations around the world instead of just one. New York would be a good location for Bond to go to on his next mission though. if i remember correctly, the last time he went there was in Live And Let Die.

I'm beting my money on the title to be 'Risico', after the short story. 007 in New York was more or less a short story about Fleming's opinions about New York City. It will only be a shooting location if nothing else.

Who knows what's in store for our favorite agent next time?... As long as there is a good script, plot, characters etc then I'm all for it. Hope they tone the action down just a bit as well. I'm not a big fan of JB being filmed in NYC or the States. Even though I live here, I think there are many more spectacular locations that offer a host of possibilities. I remain "cautiously optimistic".

I don't mind a Bond movie in NY, as long as we get a few other nice locations as well to mix it up and not confine it to NY. I don't mind DAF but it felt like a bit too much of it was in Nevada, etc. (nothin against Nevada - I been to Vegas and it's great!) But I prefer Bond adventures that have a bit more variety in the places they visit around the world.

We all must remember that "007 in New York" was based on Ian Flemming's trip to the states and was not about James Bond. Plus no one can hope for filming locations if we do not know what the next movie is going to be about. There are some short stories still left but if we want Bond to continue to live on the movies must stay with the feel that Flemming wrote inn his books. The feeling that true Bond fans got when Casino Royal came out. The feeling that Bond had returned to its roots that the Bond of the 60's had returned. The next Bond must stick to its book roots and not be just another movie to please the mass amounts of action junkie teenagers. Thats why we have Lionsgate to give us movies like Crank 2 (I don't know what to say about that movie.....). Long Live James Bond 4 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |
