What do you think of the new song?
Sep 19 2008, 1:12 PM EDT I admit I was intrigued by the marriage of Black and Keys, but I have to say thus far I'm not impressed. Alicia sounds a bit raw for the background track. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Sep 19 2008, 1:37 PM EDT It's no "You Know My Name" -- but its roughness and chaotic quality might fit this particular film, much as the focused intensity of Cornell's song was a perfect match for Casino Royale. It's hard to really judge a Bond theme until you see it against the context of the opening credit sequence, though. It struck me as having some of the qualities of Tina Turner's excellent "GoldenEye" -- ominous, drawn-out strains punctuated by stabs of intensity. At other times, it came dangerously close to Madonna's annoying "Die Another Day"... Also, I'm disappointed that there isn't more contrast between White's & Keys's voices -- they blend together a little too well, almost sounds like a single voice digitally augmented. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

ITS A PIECE OF CRAP IS MUSIC DEGENERATING AS WE CONTINUNG INTO THE 21st century IN THE 60's we had guys like Matt Monro and Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones singing Bond theme's and they did one heck of a job these artists don't know music there killing the Bond franchise. THEY SHOULD GET TOM JONES TO SING A THEMESONG AGAIN! 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

The music in the 1960's Sean Connery Bond movies tied the music together with the sophiscated nature of 007, these musicans don't relasize this! and 00seven I tried what you said it didn't work BOND IS SUPPOSED TO BE CLASSY AND HE HAS ROCK AND ROLL WEIRD SYNTHASIZER MUSIC AS HIS BACKGROUND MUSIC THAT IS JUST WERID WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE JOHN BARRY DAYS WHERE IT WAS SIMPLE AND NICE TO LISTEN IN THE MORNING AT LUNCH OR AT BED TIME! Sep 20 2008, 5:11 AM EDT Well then, looks like this tune isnt going to be popular. As i said, i love it but i do know what you guys want from a Bond tune too. I think the Bond franchise has moved on in all ways now. The theme tune more raw, gritty and edgy, the new Bond similar, no Q or Moneypenny, no gadgets, perhaps no gun barel sequence either. A totally new type of Bond film for a new generation. Only time will tell. I love the new direction myself though. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"There seem to be a lot of samples and guitar comps in the track, it has a stop start stop again quality to it, standing on its own without visuals, I gotta say fairly weak. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
