Unfair
Jul 24 2008, 6:19 PM EDT I am happy of this competition, but it is unfair. Diamonds are Forever vs. Goldeneye, DAF doesn't stand a chance or Golfinger against Tommorow Never Dies, Goldinger will win for sure. Shouldn't they put DAF against TND that would be a real fight. 4 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jul 24 2008, 8:41 PM EDT if you had some mob connections (or perhaps mod connections), then perhaps the odds would be more in your favor Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Unfair
Jul 29 2008, 11:08 PM EDT Well, there isn't really any way to make these things fair, is there? Which is why we used an external and relatively impartial source (IMDb) to establish the seeding order. Believe me, I could have debated those rankings all day (and what fun that would be -- such good sport), but in the end, the show simply must go on. As usually happens in these kinds of brackets, the top-seeded entrants blow away their competition in the first few rounds, and the interesting matchups are among the middle-seeds (The Spy Who Loved Me vs. Live And Let Die, or You Only Live Twice vs. For Your Eyes Only). Goldfinger shouldn't encounter any real competition until at least the semifinals... Do you find this valuable? |

Jul 29 2008, 11:23 PM EDT If you truely think about it, match-ups like that (TND v.s. Goldfinger) are bound to happen. Best get them out of the way for now. Then the real actions begins. Mob connections. lol. Is it true that John Kerry Had Mob connection. I think that is a bunch of bull, but what can one mortal like me say to NOT PROVE it. Kerry should have won...................... Do you find this valuable? |

Jul 30 2008, 8:55 AM EDT I already know, that at the end Goldfinger will win, no matter what happens. No real challange here. Why does Goldfinger always win? Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Unfair
Jul 30 2008, 4:30 PM EDT No doubt, Goldfinger is a fair bet. But I wouldn't rule out From Russia With Love or Casino Royale or even GoldenEye. (CR is actually the tourney's #1 seed, as it has the highest IMDb rank of all the films.) This is, after all, a community of Bond connoisseurs -- I don't think they're swayed by what's popular. There are some pretty vocal pro-Moore and pro-Brosnan factions here. Don't rule out the dark horse. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
