Lifts?

Alright - no one is perfect. Craig gives himself to the roll completely. I can't imagine how much time he must have spent in the gym to get that build. Leading men have been doing this for years. What is Tom Cruise like 5'5? Do you find this valuable?

I'll admit to snickering a bit, but if the keep hiring models for Bond girls what does one expect? Do you find this valuable?

As Bond fans, we cannot let these things bother us. What is important is the actors portrayal of Bond. I believe Craig is an excellent Bond, if not, the best.

what's interesting to me is that it's 2008, and there's still this prohibition in popular culture against short men being with tall women. Do you find this valuable?

If Connery can wear a rug, surely we can't begrudge Craig a little lift. Do you find this valuable?

No prohibition at all. It's a multi-billion dollar franchise chock full of risk in other areas, and it's not the place to introduce the concept of a guy being shorter than his gal if the story doesn't have anything to do with it. People would be distracted by it.

One place where it was a better fit, was with Mayday. Although Grace Jones is in fact shorter than Roger Moore, they had her towering over him in a few scenes because she was supposed to be anti-feminine and intimidating. It's just part of acting. You want to work the intended message into all aspects of the body language, and lots of other gentlemen outside of the Bond franchise have worn lifts for this reason...

It is interesting that Mr. Craig is a good three inches shorter than any other Bond actor in the EON family.

From now on...if anyone posts something about Craigs height or lack of it as the case, then i for one am not going to acknowledge it or justify it be replying. Somethings are just a waste of energy posted on here. I see a topic headline , i click on it only to find something so tedious i wish i hadnt have bothered. So...this isnt a reply to the topic "Lifts". This is just me leaving my statement on this page because i cant be bothered scrolling away to another page and leaving it there. Over and out. (sips my bacardi and coke and staggers off to you tube for a while). Hic* Do you find this valuable?
