And it didn't have anything to do with that, it had to do with Goldfinger's reckoning of the consequences to his plan should he allow the laser to do its dirty work, or stop it in its tracks. And that never did make sense. "Uh oh, Bond heard about Operation Grand Slam, so it wouldn't do to slice him in half, I'll have to let him live until it's time to set off my atomic bomb, at which time I'll just have him blown to smithereens." Rrrrr? As far as getting out of it, I think I'd have to go with For Your Eyes Only. I didn't understand why Ms. Havelock left her air tank down there, but it turned out to be a good thing she did...and watching that guy get smacked into the shark-infested waters was just fun. Poor nameless faceless bad guy. :-( Do you find this valuable? |

Jul 20 2008, 7:35 AM EDT There have been NO good attempts of killing Bond because Bond always wins. But in my opinion Auric Goldfinger is the best. He's the only villain to actually have Bond locked up most of the film. Do you find this valuable? |
