1 Brosnan (Cool, smart, funny but not too funny, convincing at the womanising, and fight scenes look almost realistic)2 Connery (Pretty much like Brosnan, apart from maybe not quite so funny) 3 Lazenby (Alright, in the minority here, but if he had been allowed to do more films, he may have just been my favourite, I thought he portrayed a good emotional Bond, but still pulled of humour and womanising, not much fighting though) 4 Moore (Was alright at the beginning, eg Man with the Golden Gun but laterly it became too much about humour, too old as well) 5 Dalton (Aggressive, and looked the part, victim of very bad writing for the first non-Fleming Bond) 6 Craig (Once again, I think I'm in the minority, he is just awful, angry, cold Bond, and despite what people say not true to the books, he is "The Good Looking Bond" (as women seem to call him) and that is all he is, he's unconvincing with the womanising, really bad at the one liners - They have taken away the slight corniness of Bond with Casino Royale, the thing that made it a Bond film, and not just any old action movie) Unfortunately my wish of Quantum of Solace being a flop doesnt seem to be coming true, I was hoping to see him sacked for being so bad Do you find this valuable? |

"What do you like so much about him!?!?!?" 1. He's the finest actor ever to take on the role. 2. His Bond wasn't Superman -- he was human, with all the faults and frailties that entails. His steely, hundred-yard stare made him a most believable assassin, and his 007 exuded class and confidence, with an ever-present danger and turmoil bubbling just below his handsome exterior. Dalton also did much of his own stuntwork, which added an extra element of grit to his action scenes. Perhaps you should put the comfort of conventional assessments aside and give his installments another look. Dalton's Bond -- nobody did it better. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"He's second for me(connery 1st) but I think he could be better than Connery."Sorry for interrupting, but I'm afraid I have to disagree, S3N70R. No other actor could portray Bond better than Connery. He is obviosly the best there ever was. I even read the first three of Fleming's novels and I must say Connery really fits the character, both in the novels and in the movies. After all, Bond, from his biography, is born to a scottish father and a swiss mother. And Connery is from Scotland. All in all, I don't know about you, but Connery to me is the best Bond and nobody could beat him. I don't mind Craig, I absolutely agree, he is a very good Bond, similair to the character described in the novels, but not good enough to beat Connery. Oh, by the way, I found an interview with Craig where he said: “Sean Connery set and defined the character. He did something extraordinary with that role. He was bad, sexy, animalistic and stylish, and it is because of him I am here today. I wanted Sean Connery’s approval and he sent me messages of support, which meant a lot to me.” So, if you're interested in this, i'll post you a link: http://www.mi6.co.uk/sections/bonds/index.php3 Do you find this valuable? |

Connery is the Best! But Craig could get very close to Connery. Craig is the younger bond and Connery is the older one. It is kinda hard to compare the two if you understand what I'm saying. "Dear God!!! hears what I mean. Connery is the best old Bond. But Craig is for the younger generations and is the better young Bond. Since they are recreating Bond(hence why Q and Moneypenny aren't in CR and QoS) Craig is perfect. Do you find this valuable? |

No one came close to Roger Moore.Without him accepting the role after Connery left the scene, the James Bond franchise would have been no more,i mean no MOORE.Hail Sir Roger Moore the Saviour of Bond and the GREATEST BOND OF ALL TIME,FOREVER AND EVER

"No one came close to Roger Moore.Without him accepting the role after Connery left the scene, the James Bond franchise would have been no more,i mean no MOORE.Hail Sir Roger Moore the Saviour of Bond and the GREATEST BOND OF ALL TIME,FOREVER AND EVER"Moore and Dalton were the reason the series began to fail (well actuall the writers use of them), Brosnan had to rebuild the popularity of the series. Thats why for me Brosnan and Connery are the best, not only are they best in their portrayals, but Connery's Bond was what made people fall in love with Bond, and Brosnan made people fall back in love with Bond have years of despising te series. Craig seems to be retaining the audience that Brosnan built up. Do you find this valuable? |

Why is this even up for debate? Connery is clearly the best. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. Even Brosnan, Moore, and Craig have all said Connery was the best. Who are you to argue with them?
