Agreed... In fact, about my list - I might just put Live And Let Die infront of Tomorrow Never Dies at number 13. TND was quite good, as are most of them, but I find so much to love about LALD, the croc-hoppin bit and subsequent boat chase, Kananga and Samedi (<love the freaky laugh!) and the beautiful Solitaire.

Added you to my friends. :)
LALD and TMWTGG I will always have a soft spot for. As I've said before, though, I just love CR and FRWL for their realism, and cos they don't thrive on the action too much like some of them do. I would've enjoyed QoS more if there were more scenes in between the action to bring the movie to around 1 hour 50 minutes or 2 hours. And Thunderball, well, you know I just love that one...

I think QOS was so bad that I was about to deny it's state as an official Bond-movie. The whole movie was just rushing and rushing. I hardly catched the plot. And Vesper! Why does it have to be so much about Vesper? My clear opinion is that Bond isn't supposed to cry after a Bond-girl (with the exception of Tracy di Vicenzo. I think she was the only one for Bond) Do you find this valuable?

Now if we could only cut THUNDERBALL down to an hour-and-a-half...

Maybe a bit longer than that. I agree that some of the underwater scenes like when Largo and his men steal the atomic bombs could have been shorter, and the explaining of the villains plans during the first part of the film took a bit longer than what it needed to. 1 hour 50 mins or 2 hours I think is the perfect length for a Bond film. Although funnily enough my 2 favorite films happen to be CR and TB - both of which are about 2 hrs 15 mins. Great entertainment though, like most of them... I just felt like QoS shoulda been longer. More Fields and Mathis would've been good.

At least now the Vesper storyline is over and there is a fresh slate for the next film. I've heard Craig saying in interviews he hopes for characters like Q and Moneypenny to return. This alone is enough to convince me that the next film could easily be better than QoS. Only time will tell, I guess... Wonder where Bond #23 will end up fitting on the list?...

Some great things in THUNDERBALL, but the last act is such a mess (the sped-up action finale is especially jarring) that I can't call it a top-tier favourite.

Yeah the last act perhaps could've done with a bit of polishing but it's still always been a top 3 contender for me simply for sheer entertainment. CR and FRWL are the other top 2 though because they are more believable, and much like Fleming works. More spy based and gritty. Love Bond vs. Red Grant, and CR brought the series back to its roots after the atrocious DAD.

Out of what I've seen

1. For Your Eyes Only
2. Casino Royale (2006)
3. The Living Daylights
4. The Spy Who Loved Me
5. Quantum Of Solace
6. Licence To Kill
7. A View To A Kil
8. Goldfinger
9. Dr No
10. You Only Live Twice
11. Octopussy
12. Moonraker
13. Goldeneye
14. Live And Let Die
15. From Russia With Love
16. The World Is Not Enough
17. Thunderball
18. Tomorrow Never Dies
19. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
20. Diamonds Are Forever
21. The Man With The Golden Gun
22. Die Another Day

My opinion on best to worst Bond actors:

1. Timothy Dalton
2. Daniel Craig
3. Roger Moore
4. Sean Connery
5. Pierce Brosnan
6. George Lazenby

The shark scene in THUNDERBALL stands out since it's clearly Connery in the pool. The title song and of course Claudine Auger add much to the film's appeal, but the last act works against my overall impression of the movie. CR is a solid Bond adventure, but really, TMWTGG and AVTAK would have seemed stellar after DAD. FRWL is the purest spy caper of the series and is a great film, Bond or otherwise.

I concur. My fav used to be Goldfinger but now I'm completely into FRWL and TB. Although I often go through phases with different films in the series, even MR (from time to time). You're right tho, FRWL is probably the most solid espionage film out of not only the entire franchise but also the spy genre. I think CR is a fair top contender too, though, but its not yet the classic that FRWL has become.

The Connery films were alright, just a bit overrated. Though my best from Connery were Dr No and Thunderball. Very enjoyable. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

No I am not going to do a list, everyone has their own opinion and personally I like to change my own from time to time, but just a few personal observations.
Good to see OHMSS getting some top ratings. Too many people confuse not liking Lazenby with the film itself. From the film score to the plot and emotion this would get a place in my top third. If Connery had have been in it, it would have been my favourite flim. (not that I necessarily rate Connery above others, just would have fitted the era, hit it off with Dianna Rigg and lt's face it Roger's hiumour wouldn't have worked in this movie.). I also have some bias as I have skied down from the restaurant at the of the Schilthorn
that was Blofeld's hideout! They are still selling OHMSS merchandise today!!!
In contrast Dalton's Bond suffered from what were less than mediocre firms in the franchise rathers than Dalton himself who made a could portrayal of Flemings Bond (albiet two films is not enough to really judge).
As far as Craig goes, Casino Royale was a masterpiece, but I found myself nodding off in QofS.
my favourite movie is Goldeneye (on many different levels) and I think Brosnan should have has a fifth if only to redeem himself for DAD.
Moore's movies (save for the last two) will always evoke nostaglia as I grew up with them and I love the cheesey humour and implausibility of it all.
