If George Lazenby would have done more movies, would have he been better than Roger Moore? Would he have been a top 2 bond? 13  out of 20 found this valuable. Do you?

No, he wouldn't have been than Moore. He could have been better than Connery, Dalton, Craig or Brosnon though, so a top 2 Bond isn't out of the question.

i think if he hade made diamonds are forever & live and let die,he would have been conciderd no.2 after connery. but then as i belive live and let die was moore's best bond movie mayby just diamonds which would have placed him at no.3

I think he had the chops. He had charisma, athleticism, the look, and more range as an actor than Connery. I would have loved to have seen more films from dear George. And, in hindsight, I'm betting he wished he behaved better after OHMSS.

Except for the "range" part,I'll agree to the rest....Connery had the range he just did'nt get the chance to show it---it was'nt in the script --- yet. Sean could've done the final scene of OHMSS very well --- differant than Laz? maybe, but well.

i think that if connery had been in O.H.M.S.S. they would have had to end it with a more angry finnish. i dont know if you could see him cry?

Why more angry? The whole "death of Tracy" was pivotal for Bond ,this was the only other woman to get inside his heart( after Vesper) and was killed by his nemisis. Would'nt that bring tears even to a hardass like Connery? And to see Sean break down ---- what a moment that would be....even more dramatic than Laz.
The angry part would be the next movie, and maybe it would have followed the OHMSS mold by being more Fleming-ish and less silly.

Both. For all of the "blunt insturment" and Her Majestys loyal servant Bond, for a moment, became human, fell in love, took a chance and was going to leave the Firm to marry Tracy. All this after a life of losing the ones he loved (mom/dad,his aunt,Oberhauser his 2nd father,Vesper) the man who was just a silhoutte reached out ---- and once again had it taken from him. I'd say that was a pivitol moment,in the books or the movies.

I think he should have played Bond in Diamonds Are Forever. Connery, even though hes my favorite, bleeked his carrer just a bit by coming back and playing Bond. Lazenby with the young carrer he had, he could have brought the young side back.

OH HE HAD the range!!!!!! Connery had the chance to show it, he played in SIX bond movies. As for the script, the writters in Diamonds Are Forever let Connery put in some material.

I still like him or maybe it was because Diana Rigg was in the movie. She is the best. I still love watching her on the Avengers on the one season DVDs. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

George Laazenby. HE was nothing more than a middling Bond. Better than dalton and brosnan. Worse than Craig, Connery and Moore. He gave a fairly woody performance that was only saved by extensive dubbing. I think that connery should have been in OHMSS. He would have portrayed the emotional stress better. He would mixed anger and grief. Lazenby only portrayed grief, and I think he didn't doo it to well. But Diamonds Are Forever might have ruined connery's career if he wasn't so great in his other movies. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

no Dalton was the worst by far!!!!!!!! I think Lazenby Could have gone far if he had stayed with it. He had what it took to be a good bond. I really did like him in OHMSS.
