What's up with 007's firearm?
Mar 20 2008, 1:53 AM EDT We all remember the scene with M in Dr. No where Bond is asked to hand over his weapon so it can be replaced by the more realiable Walther PPK. But Dr. No presumably started after Bond's Casino Royale mission. So wouldn't he be carrying the Berreta .25 ACP instead of a Walther? 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

Ya know, ya can't look at these things too closely... Welcome, lizardking. Glad you're hear. Keep bringing up those points. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: What's up with 007's firearm?
Mar 29 2008, 9:24 PM EDT 'struth. Still, it would be nice if he were to carry the new Walther PPS in the next movie. Something a bit smaller, more 'spy' appropriate than a bloody full size Walther. Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 3 2008, 5:01 PM EDT "Something a bit smaller, more 'spy' appropriate than a bloody full size Walther."A very thoughtful treatment is given to this subject at the link below. There have been other such dissertations, but I thought this was one of the best. Enjoy... http://www.hmss.com/qbranch/qb0101.htm Do you find this valuable? |

So in DR NO and every other film that has been made did not happen. Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 18 2008, 3:34 PM EDT The writters must have overlooked that one. Thye must have either never seen Dr.No or they were trying to keep Bond with his Classic PPK. >>>>GSTQ<<<< 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Was the famous Baretta/PPK scene in Dr. No taken from something in the book? If so, keeping in mind that DN was actually the sixth novel, was Bond using a .25 Baretta all the way throughout the first five? Connery seemed to be very fond of it. Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 19 2008, 5:03 PM EDT "Okay, so here's something that's got me curious.Yes...'t was from DN. FRWL(the booc)was before DN and 007 almost d'ed because the gun jammed---so M made h'm get a new one...the Walther . So the Beretta was 007s gun for the earl'er novels. Do you find this valuable? |
