The short story , Q of S was a great character study,both of Bond and "regular' people and how "real" life can be as cutthroat and deadly as being a spy. IF you've read the books,Fleming was very character driven. Sorry to say that most of the movies sacrifice depth for "action" and gadgets and quips--very shallow stories indeed. 007 has become an "action-hero" not the spy Fleming invisioned.
