Goldfinger is oft hailed as the best Bond film of all time. From OddJob and Pussy Galore to the laser scene and countless quotes most agree it's a very balanced film from end-to-end. What do you think? Does Daniel Craig's Casino Royale take the mantle?

"I adore Goldfinger, don't get me wrong. However, I think Casino Royale shows a better portrayal of what bond should be like. Bond should be a ruthless killler not a charming womanizer. So casino royale beats goldfinger by just a little bit." I couldn't agree with you more, Bond is an assassin! As I've said before, Connery and Craig are the most brutal of the 6 actors so far, along with probably Tim Dalton, and lets face it, Craig-haters, if he's an assassin that's what he should be. Connery AND Craig still effortlessly charm the ladies when they want to, obviously... but they're the one's more focused on completing their mission than wowing the ladies.

1. Casino Royale - classic espionage Bond, more like FRWL/OHMSS. 2. Thunderball - always an epic picture, with a mix of espionage and full on adventure. 3. From Russia With Love - classic Connery. Love the Bond versus Red Grant bit. 4. Goldfinger - the epitome of a good Bond movie. The Aston Martin rules! Great fun. 5. The Living Daylights - great job by Dalton! Gritty and 1000 times better than AVTAK. 6. Goldeneye - perfect entry vehicle for Pierce and classic Bond updated for the 90's.
These 6 are ultimately the ones I felt I had to mention. Always my favs. If I had to say one more, it would be On Her Majestys Secret Service.

I-Live and Let Die (Best one in the series! Paul McCartney's theme Awsome, Dr. Quinn hot girl. Boat/Alligater scene speechless, so much moore to name) II-The Man with the Golden Gun (Bond's equal SCARAMANGA) III-Moonraker (Good plot, Bond vs. Jaws II, "Heartbroken Mr. Drax") IV-Octopussy (Barry's theme awsome, train/car chase scenes good) V- For Your Eyes Only (Had a few good points to it) VI-A View To A Kill (Plot weak, Could have had a better girl/villian)

Many consider From Russia with Love to be the best of the entire series - even Connery. While it lacks some of the fun of Goldfinger (OddJob, PussyG) I have to agree it's a better 'film.'

The best of the Connery's era. In 45 years history of the saga, only one film couldn't be THE best. It correspond to an era with its state of mind (communism, etc.) TSWLM is the best Moore TLD is the best Dalton
