humor didn't help Roger Moore's movies
Roger Moore's request for more humor in the new movies(a bond more accurate to the novels) is a ridiculous crybaby attempt to get publicity. No one liked Man With the Golden Gun's humor.

Bond humour
Well, it is the English way. I've heard stories of British fighter pilots in their burning and doomed aircraft during WWII always making a quip on the radio about their fates. The humour in the Moore movies got a bit campy at times, though

Humor in Bond films
Roger Moore is absolutely right! All the little quips, innuendo, tngue-in-cheek humor, cliche lines have been removed from the Bond films. Connery, Moore, Brosnan did it right!

Bond Humor
I agree. I personally liked Roger Moore's Bond the best. By the time he came in 1973, the Bond formula had been set. He tweaked it to his own interpretation of the character. I've always liked watching his movies and have seen his coolness as a show of strength. In regards to Daniel Craig, I don't know if its his acting that is the problem or just a lousy script/ director. I saw the latter half of Casino Royale and it wasn't that bad. Quantum of Solace, on the other hand, is the worst Bond film I have ever seen in my life. All aspects of it were weak. It had no heart and soul and too much cheap cut and paste of previous films (Ms. Fields in motor oil).. The editing was horrible and the blatant Anti-Americanism oil tangent was uncalled for. It was just a jumble of action scenes. Wayne

Humor was a specialty of Moore's Bond
The additional humor within the films portrayed by Roger Moore was intentional and important for the period. As the Broccolis have wanted, each Bond is portrayed by an actor best likely to give each period the Bond they need. Connery was the Bond for a period in which feminism was just a funny idea, Moore was Bond for a stressful period in human history that really needed to lighten up, Brosnan was the response to feminism and the need for a "perfect" male, while Craig is the Bond needed for a world that must return to a more "real" outlook. I think a lot of fans would argue that the recent films lack humor. Especially since this Bond (Craig) is at the start of his career, he hasn't fully developed his skills and perhaps his wit at this point.

bond humor
Agree. The last two were humorless, and the last one was downright charmless. Not that we need ever revisit Octopussy, Moonraker or the some of the MWTGG moments, but there is just no wit anymore.

Risk Factors of Bond women
1/10 Would be Aki. She is beautiful, sincere, loving woman who would be very loyal to her man as well as loving. She would be my first choice. The woman I would put last is May Day. No loyality to any man at all with no values.......
