Not the first true sequel
Puh-leeze.
There's a difference between working a sequel-like element or two into a Bond film, and relentlessly intertwining an installment with the one that came before.
So a little perspective is in order. "For Your Eyes Only" could be called a sequel because of the bald nameless Blofeld-like construct at the beginning. And of course because of Jaws, "Moonraker" could be considered a sequel of "The Spy Who Loved Me." A character called "Quarrel Jr." is positioned prominently in "Live and Let Die," ostensibly the son of the unfortunate who got burned to a crisp in "Dr. No" (in the books this was the same person, since LALD came first).
Are all these really sequels? An answer could be provided in the affirmative on a purely technical basis. But not on an honest one.

Thank God!
"ooooohhhh yeah. i forgot. thanks for reminding me.
but they couldve had some continuity between movies. " And because of the continuity problem theyve had to leave many characters out or change them, like Quarrel who dies in Dr. No but was also in LALD but the movies did Dr. No first so they came up with "Quarrel Jr." for the LALD movie.

LALD is great fun. It’s sort of like Roger Moore’s Bond version of “Dr. No.” We even have Quarrel Jr. to help out.
