Bond 23 theme - what would work
You know, I think they would be good for a bond theme. I would prefer them over Jack White and Alicia Keys, no offense to them, but i thought "Another way to die" was pretty interesting, but i think it went a bit too over the top.
I think Muse would do a good job or the group H.I.M., both groups have a great sound and would definitely fit in with Daniel Craig's films. I just hope that whoever gets the job of writing and singing the theme does a good job and takes the music back to a sound like- "Duran Duran's A view to a kill", "A-ha's The living daylights", or "Chris Cornell's you know my name."

Fingers crosssed
Aside from my hopes that Amy sings the Quantum of Solace theme, I really just hope she gets her act together. The irony of her first hit (no, no, no) grows stronger any day. We'll know she's in trouble if she's spotted with Britney or Lindsey.

These are a few of my favorite things
I have a few ideas for how to make Bond 23 rekindle the sultry, suspenseful style of bygone Bonds. One, we DEFINITELY need an "M" make-over. I like the idea of a high-heeled handler pressing from Britain on Bond's back, but dump the degenerating Dench and bring a still-smoking Vanessa Redgrave, Jayne Seymour, or my personal pick Charlotte Rampling, for a tour. Speaking of smoking, I'd love to see Bond in a smoky nightclub setting where he's to meet a contact for the 411 on the villian(s). But the contact turns out to be the next Bondgirl: a steamy, brunette starlet singing some blue-eyed soul (or even a rendition of whatever the next Bond theme will be). Bond orders either a martini or a "Vesper" and the two slip away to a corner booth and engage in double entendres that either get them to the parking lot, into the Aston Martin, and into bed or the starlet into a bodybag (a la Solange) as the villians do a drive-by that Bond barely escapes. On the subject of music, for the next Bond theme I'd like to have a female take the helm again. Maybe a Brit like Amy Winehouse or Lisa Stansfield could drive home a sexy John Barry ballad instead of David Arnold's tired techno-pop themes. And as for the missing Bond essentials, I'd like to see an Indian Moneypenny -- maybe a Solani Bendre (of Indian Idol fame) -- and an Oriental "Q". These changes would really give the franchise the new dimesion its constantly looking for, instead of its producers dumping all the trappings of Bond (gadgetry and glib gab) in favor of angst and humorless grit.

What do you think of the new song?
I've heard that Amy Winehouse plans to release her theme that was rejected in favour of the Keys song. Could make for an interesting comparison...
