Common misconception for all Bond Fans
The thread "THe Best OO7" really got me thinking. You know, most Bond fans put 007 (double zero seven), I myself included. Now I know that i should put OO7. Should we fix some pages???

Attn Seattle Bond fans: SIFF to screen 007 double feature this May
Posting as a thread so as not to spam the whole community with a regional announcement:
Anyone in the Seattle area take note: As part of their celebration of the 90th anniversary of United Artists, the Seattle International Film Festival will be screening a Double-0 double-feature -- Dr. No and Goldfinger -- on Sunday, May 18, at McCaw Hall at Seattle Center. Dr. No screens at 2 and 6; Goldfinger at 4 and 8. Both are new 35mm prints.
More info here: http://www.siff.net/events/detail.aspx?FID=108
I for one plan to be there! Especially since I wasn't old enough to see Miss French, Miss Ryder, Miss Masterson, and Miss Galore on the big screen their first time around!

RE: Lazenby
"I am sorta sad that no one besides me thinks that Lazenby is one of the best... he had potential... lets not forget Dalton did only two movies and they are some of the worst... but Lazenby's one and only movie... is in the top 5 of all time...this guy was good" if you read some of the other threads you will see that me and alex have discused this at length. my personal opinion is that if he had only just one or two more films he would have made my personal number 2

RE: Two Fleming questions
Well....good question. I'd be hard pressed to figure which book I liked best. They all were great stories, some with a bit more depth than others, wild plots and characters, some more "beliveable" . Off the bat I'll say FRWL...a very well drawn in depth book. Maybe this is another thread but I always wonderd what IF would've thought of the evolution of Bond and the adaptation of his books had he lived. I think he'd have liked CR and Craig as it seems to be going back to the more darker,in-depth 007 Fleming wrote.

RE: Already ranked fav's of Sean & Roger, what about Peirce?
Aw, here's the thread that will expose me as the Die Another Day apologist that I am. Loved it. Not as much as GoldenEye, but still:
1. GoldenEye 2. Die Another Day 3. The World Is Not Enough 4. Tomorrow Never Dies
Note: You take Denise Richards OUT of The World Is Not Enough, and I'd move it up to #2.

RE: Talk About Roger Moore
I was always impressed with Derek Meddings' "Moonraker" launch sequences, too. They looked extremely realistic, and wish they had lingered on them a bit morein the editing. Still not a big fan of "Moonraker" (I just don't think 007 belongs in space), and actually place TMWTGG above it, despite all its problems.
Perhaps this should be continued on the "Moonraker" thread.

RE: What happend to the dialog ?
sorry to keep posting but i'm ovviously hitting the post button before i've turned off the ol brain...
case in point: (and justin and i have gotten into this in other threads). during the intro parkour chase scene, we see mollaka running all over the place, doing all these action packed moves. bond follows, but isn't as skilled at the fanciness, so we see him busting through walls and shooting up embassies. in the books (notice that this scene was not present in the novel) i'd imagine that bond would have done a bit more thinking in this case, perhaps keeping a safe distance from mollaka, following him discretely, finding out that he found refuge in the embassy, and then meeting with embassy officials in disguise to uncover who was funding mollaka. these kinds of situations provide the context for bond to engage in the depth of dialogue that's on par for the novels.
