Community Member Reviews | | Bond goes to Japan to stop hi-jacked space capsules. SPECTRE's secret HQ is in a big hollowed-out volcano that regularly launches rockets and helicopters. Right, no one'll notice. Finally see Blofeld and it's Donald Pleasance with one nasty scar and the voice of a braying chihuahua. Script logic and any resemblance to the Fleming story go down the ol' lava-tube. Connery hits his marks professionally, but that's about it. Big ninja attack in the volcano!! Goes...on...forever. Bond ends up with girl in a raft. |

Moore4ever | The idea of Bond heading to Japan, terrific! The idea of having to have be trained as a ninjia, ninja, terrible! I don't know what happen, mabyemaybe he was running out of steam, but Connery defeniltydefiantly dropped the ball somewhere. It could have the producers and not Sean. Sean just lazallylazily walks through the movie not giving a damn if he's 007 or not. Sure there are elements that help the movie move along. DefenitlyDefiantly the little nellie sequence and the descoverdiscovery of SPECTRE #1 Blofeld! Aki and Kissy make good Bond girls, but it save. Tiger or should I say the japaneseJapanese verisonversion of M? Bond fakeingfaking his death to confuse SPECTRE, what?! Once you wrap your head around all this, the movie picks up. As I said before Sean moves at a slow pace and the movie does too. But hey, its my review. Not one of Sean's best. Of course only time would tell till everybody's favorite Bond return in other adventure. They didn't have to wait long. Four years later Bond in the form of Connery returned in a much more upscale adventure! |
