A year before Bond's own mission to Japan (1967's You Only Live Twice), came What's Up, Tiger Lily? a comedy film from Woody Allen. Made from two Japanese spy films very close to James Bond, Allen dubbed over the voices and completely changed the plot into a spy comedy about finding an egg salad recipe.

The japanese film, originally titled "Key of Keys", also features Akiko Wakabayashi and Mie Hama, who both appeared in "You Only Live Twice".
