Roger and always Roger, I wouldnt like to be Sean Connery's Bond, if you thnk about it no one really loves James In the Connery films, he is a loner, but everyone melts with Roger, he is pure charm and a well rounded human being that happens to be the best secret agent...just for fun.

It surprises me that Sean Connery is not my favorite bond. He is one of my all-time favorite actors. I think his looks, charm and charisma ripened with age. Wonder how he would have played an older Bond? Think I would have fallen in love. I also think if he'd played the character at a later time and the "sexism" aspect was tuned more to "suavely complementary" rather than such overt, potentially demeaning displays... I would have been more responsive to the character. Being able to communicate those "steamy" intentions in a cool, clever, devilishly sly way - oooh - that about does me in. Another surprise to me is that when I think about it, I really loved how Pierce Brosnan played the role. I'm not saying he got the best movies. I don't think I even saw the last one he made because of the reviews it got, and I didn't want to "spoil" the ideal for myself. But, the portrayal of the character he delivered played on the notes of my every "Bond" fantasy - Dry, saucy, savoir-faire, dripping with weak-in-the-knees charms, sharp intellect, supremely self-confident, suave, quick in wit and response time, clever... the total package. So, my rating list would be... 1. Moore (He had the clever, debonaire, class-act thing in spades.) 2. Brosnan (He brought out the "class-act" bond, all the way. [see above]) 3. Connery (He's just generally SPLENDID.) 4. Craig (I don't know the other two bonds, so Craig had no real competition for this spot. Casino Royal was a great film and I thought Craig did a great job with it. There's a lot of potential for this new brand of Bond, I think. Kind of hard to make the switch mentally, in some ways, to accept the change. But as another commenter wrote, each portrayal can be appreciated for the different qualities it brings out in a fantastic, truly iconic and enduring archetypal character.

I can't figure out why all you damn kids think that Daniel Craig is such a good Bond. Obviously it's not his fault that none of the classic moneypenny and Q scenes are in the more recent Casino Royale and Quantum, but he's not a particularily good actor, and does nothing the same as the Sean Connery, who was the original. The only thing you should really be debating is how close the other actors came to achieving a Connery-like performance.

We all seen Bond movies. And we all know how Brosnan work for 007, and we love how he does the Bond movies that he had. So, I vote for Brosnan for my number 1 followed by Sean Connery. :)

Daniel Craig has shown in two movies more athleticism and more personal action then any other Bond since Connery. I think Brosnan had the look and thats about it. Why doesnt Craig have gadgets and other simple come back whitty liners, simply doesnt have to. They can take him through a wall by running not hitting a watch to blow it up like they have had to in past. Pound for pound craig has the goods to deliver action and storyline behind his movies. It 's a very tough role to play since there have not been many to do it successfully. I like the way the recent films are taking it to another level.

Sean Connery was the first and the best James Bond. He had the total package...everything! He set the bar for the rest of the James Bonds and the rest have not stepped up to the plate. He is still awesome and adorable! He could play Bond today and be licensed to kill...so, bring it on! THIS IS A FACT, NOT AN OPINION!!!!

Yes I agree that anyone who suggests that bond should have a Male love interest should be drown in the English channel. But the fact stil remains that Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Bronsan all support Daniel Craig. Im a new fan of the bond movies ive only been a fan since my 17 birthday which was last year im 18 now and I became a fan of bond because of Daniel Craigs performance in Casino Royale.

What the hell is with the 30% that think Craig is in the top two?! He is terrible! To be in the top two, in my opinion, you have to satisfy 3 main requirements: 1) Look like a suave spy 2) be good with the ladies 3) be able to kick ass in clever, cunning and SUBTLE ways. Craig doesn't fit any of those. Sorry, but Bond isn't one to go running through dry wall, just aint gonna happen. Lastly, anyone who suggests that Bond should have a MALE love interest, should be drown in the English Channel.

I agree, Craig was rubbish. Dark and brooding (what he tries to be) do not go well with his demeanor (which is angry and boyish). I'd have to say Dalton did the dark and brooding the best. Connery and Moore is a tossup (connery was more manly, but moore was funnier and was better with the ladies).
I cant decide who was best though.....it's too close between brosnan (although after goldeneye, his movies were too hollywood), moore, and connery

In my opinion, my favorite Roger Moore Bond films would be a toss up between FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. Those two films were outstanding. He is a Jame Bond who have a joke,smart and polite. By in the last film that he make a personal appearance in the A VIEW TO A KILL .It is a the last film that he is a Jame Bond. And Jame Bond films that he is a actor have 7 films
