Valentin Zukovsky

Valentin Zukovsky Bio | Valentin Zukovsky PicturesValentin Zukovsky - James Bond

Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky is an ex-KGB agent who now has connections with the Russian mafia. He run a bar, a casino, and manages a caviar factory. During his career as a KGB agent, Bond shot him in the leg, stole his car, and slept with his girlfriend. Valentin, to this day, has a limp because of Bond. While it's not clear whether or not Valentin ever forgave Bond, Valentin's help is invaluable to Bond, even if it is generally coaxed out of him with Bond's PPK.

Valentin's grudge against Bond tends to be downplayed when he realizes that by helping Bond, he's able to make a lot of money. Zukovsky appears in Goldeneye, where he arranges a meeting between Bond and Janus, and in The World is Not Enough, where he helps free Bond from his captor, Elektra King. this helped bond escape from elektra's torture chair. At the end of The World is Not Enough, Valentin appears to be killed by Elektra, however it is unclear whether or not he was killed, or just severely wounded.

I have always loved this guy. It was a shame when this guy died. But he died in heros honor - he saved bond from Eleckras evil chair.
