Tiger appears as Bond's contact in the Japanese Secret Service, or JSS. Bond and Tiger first meet when agent and Bond girl Aki leads 007 into the best trap he ever fell into: into Tiger Tanaka's office. They grow a friendship, leading to a bath and a massage at Tanaka's luxurious home. Tanaka later trains Bond in the ways of a ninja, as well as leading the attack on Blofeld's volcano. Tanaka and a few of his men make it out just before the volcano erupts.
