"I dislike The Man With The Golden Gun very much and happen to think it is the worst of Moore's 7 films. Just silly, but so was Live And Let Die (in some respects), and Moonraker. Moore's good performances don't appear until The Spy Who Loved Me, in my opinion."

"My problem with More as Bond may not be with Roger More at all, but with the movies. The trend toward more and more gadgetry detracted, in my opinion, from the Bond stories, and More was at the center of this trend. The books were fairly gadget free, or at least the ones chosen were possible. I felt More tried to hard to be suave. Bond would never have worn gloves with the cuffs turned down. Bond was understated, and not terribly stylish, but elegant. More was too flamboyant."
