Attempted methods of killing Bond:
  • Strangling him with a garrote wire, hidden in a wristwatch.
  • Brawling with Bond inside a tiny cabin within the Orient Express.

How he is dispatched:
  • Bond throttles Grant with his own garrote.

Evil scheme:
  • To retrieve the Lektor for his boss, Colonel Rosa Klebb by making sure that Bond gets it from the Russians before taking it from him by force.

How plans were foiled:
  • 007 tricked him into opening the Q branch briefcase which released tear gas. This caused a fight between Bond and Grant and led to his demise.

Boss:

Defining dialogue:
  • "The first bullet won't kill you. Not the second, not even the third. Not until you crawl over here and kiss my foot!"

Guardian Angel:
Stalking Bond while in Istanbul, Grant protects Bond to allow for the success of the mission, including actually saving Bond's life at the gypsy camp and eliminating another enemy spy at the Hagia Sophia.

Trivia:
  • is never actually referred to as "Red" in the movie or the video game
