Theme Songs Home | Possible Theme Songs

Did you know that Alice Cooper did a demo for a title song for "The Man with the Golden Gun?" That Blondie did one for "For Your Eyes Only?"

Johnny Cash did one for "Thunderball!" (No, really!) But, did you know that Frank Sinatra almost sang the title song from "Moonraker?" Rick Astley almost sang a theme for "Octopussy?" (See how scary this can get?) Well, we don't have those last ones-they were never recorded.

But, from the 'no way's' to the 'not happening' theme songs, we have quite the collection of some Theme Songs that just didn't tickle the producers (and other delusions of grandeur). Know of a possible theme song that tickled you? Add it to the list below!

"Man for all Seasons" by Robbie Williams
(from "Johnny English")
"Thunderball" demo by Johnny Cash
"Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers
(American theme for Britain's "Danger Man"
starring Patrick McGoohan)
Way Down - Elvis

"The Man with the Golden Gun" demo by Alice Cooper

Spoof Song for "Quantum of Solace"
(by Joe Cornish)
Bono/The Edge demo for "Goldeneye"

Blondie demo "For Your Eyes Only"
Was "The Juvenile" by Ace of Base
a demo for "Goldeneye?"

Lyricist Anthony Newley's demo for "Goldfinger"
Here are the "Thunderball" Titles with the original song written for them-"Mr. Kiss Kiss-Bang Bang" sung by Dionne Warwick (they're slightly off from what was intended--the real placement can be heard on an alternate audio channel on the "Thunderball" DVD!)

Here's Ann-Margaret's sassy version of "Mr. KK-BB" "Another Dying Day” by Michael Gordon
Nickelback's "HERO" from the movie Spider-Man (2002) New song "A Kiss For A Kill" tested on Quantum of Solace title. Also proposed for James Bond 23

No idea why Broccoli and Wilson have turned a blind eye to English music legends, massive Attack. Listen to a song they recorded called, "I Want You" featuring Madonna on the vocals from about 10 years ago. It's phenomenal. And then there was the missed opportunity from U2 with "Kiss Me, Kill Me, Thrill Me". I personally think about 10 seconds of Adele's "Skyfall" was decent but overall, underwhelming. She's no Bassey.

he one sung by jonny cash is a billion times better than tom jone's recording. and it's also appropriate for a western.

I have song called "Managed Anger" that EVERYONE who hears predictably tells me "Dude this should be a James Bond theme!". My question is, to whom should I submit it to see if its "worthy"? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
