The Pink Panther (1963)

1. Film's motto was "You only live once...so see the Pink Panther twice!", a reference to the book "You Only Live Twice" which would become a film 4 years later.

The Pink Panther (2006)

Many Bond fans expressed interest in Clive Owen playing the British secret agent. The closest he has come is when he played a parody version of 007 in 2006's The Pink Panther, starring Steve Martin.

1. Steve Martin, as Inspector Clouseau, goes to a casino where he meets Nigel Boswell, Clive Owen's character. The following dialogue takes place between them:

Boswell: I'm on a secret mission. I'm Agent 006. Do you know what that means?

Clouseau: Yes. You're one away from the big time.

2. Later, in the casino, '006' uses Bondesque gadgets like a grappling-hook gun/zipline, poison darts, etc.
