Finally bought this yesterday and watched it last night, and it was brilliant.
Classic amount of womanising, one liners, killing and gadgets. This had all the elements of a true Bond film. I really enjoyed this. Seeing some of the characters played by some very different types, eg M being very young compared to normal, Q not being prim and proper. Some characters were very classic, Moneypenny, reminded me very much of the original Moneypenny. I thought the line from Q was hilarious, "good to see you back, will we be getting the usual violence and sex?" to which Bond replies "I'll try my best" Not exact but close enough. Anyone who says Connery was too old for the role, well Moore was 3 years older in Octopussy. Plus there was acknowledgements to time passed and age. A truly brilliant film, in many ways I think underrated purely because its an unofficial Bond film.

seriously, there were so many errors in never say never again: it was really good, but really dissapointing:Blofeld looks nothing at all like himself, Connery is an oldie,NO GUNBARREL, non-official film, and the ending appears to have killed the bond franchise.

...for "Never Say Never Again" blows the one used in the film out of the water. Amazing tune, amazing story.

a good bond film but it takes to much of a sexual approach (there is almost nudity as well)

A better soundtrack, otherwise a very good 007 movie. Outstanding song by Lani Hall, and the trumpet by the one and only, Herb Alpert. The plot was okay by todays standards.

Never Say Never Again seems to always pop up in James Bond circles. Maybe I am too much of a Bond purist, but I cannot see this movie having anything to do with the series that Brocolli and Saltzman started. This movie falls way short of the quality we have come to know and love from Danjaq enterprises. It is, in my not so humble opinion, a movie trying to pretend it is a real James Bond offering. Even though I love Sean Connery, watching him in this one was like watching Sylvester Stallone reprise his role as the 60+ Rocky Balboa. There can be only one true James Bond, and he has always resided at Pinewood Studios...

Hey! Maybe its called NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN because Sean came back! And maybe, on set, they said "I thought you were never coming back!" And he said "Never Say Never Again"
