• She is a Russian Level 2 Computer Programmer assigned to the top-secret Severnaya Space Weapons Control Center in Siberia. She witnesses the destruction of the facility and the subsequent theft of the GoldenEye by General Ourumov and Xenia Onatopp.
  

• They meet while trapped in a EuroCopter Tiger Helicopter after they have both been captured. The Tiger has been programmed to self-destruct by firing a pair of Matra Mistral Air-to-Air Missiles targeted at the same GPS coordinates as itself at a set time, but Bond is able to eject them both out of the helicopter just seconds before the Mistrals impact and detonate.

• Natalya: "How can you act like this? How can you be so cold?"

Bond: "It's what keeps me alive."

Natalya: "No. It's what keeps you alone!"

• Natalya: "Do you destroy every moving vehicle you get into?"
  Bond: "Standard operating procedure. Boys with toys."
• Natalya: What is with you and moving vehicles?!
• Natalya: Oh, I'm not getting on a helicopter with you. No plane, no train! Nothing that moves!
• Bond: Darling, what could possibly go wrong?

• Natalya is able to prevent the hijacked GoldenEye EMP Attack Satellite Mischa from destroying London. She sneaks into the computer room, hacks into the computer systems and resets the satellite's course to make it re-enter the atmosphere and burn up harmlessly over the Atlantic Ocean. After completing the hack and reprogramming and subsequently escaping the clutches of Trevelyan and his henchmen during the chaos caused by Bond's exploding Parker Jotter Pen Grenade (which was unwittingly triggered by Boris Grishenko), she escapes and commandeers a helicopter to pick up Bond by using the gun Bond gave her to threaten Trevelyan's pilot. Natalya saves Bond right after he drops Trevelyan off the lowest part of the satelite control antenna.
