Actress: Madeline Smith.
She is best known for her roles in Hammer horror movies as well as comedy films in the 1960's/1970's, and had previously appeared with Roger Moore in his TV series The Persuaders.


Who she is:
An Italian secret agent who Bond romances at the beginning of Live and Let Die.


How she and Bond meet:
We don't know for sure, but it is assumed that she and Bond worked together on a caper in Italy, since Bond has returned from Rome (with her) when M brings him in on the situation about Kananga.


How she helps save the day:
She doesn't. However Moneypenny saves Bond's day when she doesn't let M know that Caruso is hiding in the closet.


Bikini moment:
Caruso doesn't ever really have any clothes on. She's in bed with Bond when M interrupts and then we see her scurrying out of the room with a towel to the closet just in front of Moneypenny and puts a dress on insie the closet. After M leaves, Bond uses his magnetic watch to undress her again.
