- Mary is John Strangways' secretary in Kingston, Jamaica. She is responsible for initiating contact with MI6 each evening using a shortwave radio transmitter hidden inside a bookcase.
- On the night of Strangway's murder, the Three Blind Mice break into Strangway's house and murder Mary.
How she helps Bond:
- She doesn't. He never sleeps with one! However, as she's killed while contacting MI6, M sends Bond down to Jamaica to investigate. So she's actually responsible for the entire plot of Dr. No getting started, albeit quite bit indirectly.
