"Why couldnt she be Octopussy instead of Maud Adams" Sadly it's about notability. Maud Adams and Roger Moore are known friends...and she was already a known Bond girl (sure she was killed off and was 2nd to Britt Ekland in her movie...but you never mess with Mary Goodnight), so they probably wanted her as the "madam" Octopussy as opposed to someone younger.
