  • Vladek Sheybal. Polish actor, was friends with Sean Connery, who convinced him to take the part of Kronsteen. From Russia with love was Sheybal's first international film, the part brought him to the attention of other producers and launched his long career of playing villains in international productions.

  • sending Red Grant to complete his masterplan to kill 007

How he is dispatched:
  • a displeased Blofeld orders Morzeny to kill Kronsteen. Morzeny stabs Kronsteen with a poison-blade in his shoe when pretending to kill Rosa Klebb. Instead, Kronsteen dies and Klebb is given one last chance to kill 007

Evil scheme:
  • to assassinate 007 and sell a stolen Lektor decoder to the Soviets

  • Red Grant is killed, leaving Kronsteen and Rosa Klebb at Blofeld's mercy
