Bond has been known to wear a number of watches throughout the movies: some stylish, some not so stylish. Here, we document the watches worn by our favorite double-o agent. If you'd like to see how Q has gadgeted up Bond's watches, have a look at the gadget watches page.

Rolex Submariner:

In Ian Flemming's novels James Bond wore a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner (with phosphorus dials OHMSS). The model used in the movie was the Rolex Submariner 6538A. The Rolex Submariner is the watch that Sean Connery wore as the dashing secret agent. In the film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, James Bond (George Lazenby) wears a Rolex Submariner as well. When Connery returned to the role of Bond in Diamonds are Forever, he was once again seen wearing the Rolex Sub that was fitted with a date a just.

During the late 70s and early 80s, the Bond franchise jumped on the digitization bandwagon and Bond was seen wearing a number of Seiko (the only reason why Bond started to wear Seiko was just like Rolex Seiko product placed to generate profits) digital or digital/analogue hybrids. I remember these gaudy watches from my youth. In fact I believe I one-upped Bond with my digital watch that transformed into a little robot. While the Submariner has come to be associated as Bond's favorite watch it seems that the Omega Seamaster may be joining the Submariner in the Bond wristwatch canon.

Omega Seamaster Professional & Seamaster Planet Ocean :

With the introduction of Timothy Dalton as Bond in the late 80s, the Seikos were shelved and Submariner was reintroduced to the world as Bond's watch of choice. However, when Pierce Brosnan emerged as the new Bond in the early 90's, the Omega Seamaster Professional was introduced into the word of James Bond. In Brosnan's first movie Goldeneye (1995) he wore a quartz Omega Seamaster Professional reference number 2541.80. In Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World is not Enough (1999), and Die Another Day (2002) Bond decided to go automatic with the Omega Seamaster Professional reference number 2531.80. When Daniel Craig took over the character in Casino Royale (2006) the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean reference number 2900.50.91 became Bond's new watch. However, Bond also wore the new Coaxial version of Omega Seamaster Professional reference number 222.80.00. In Quantum of Solace (2008) only the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean reference number 2201.50.00 was worn by Bond.
